I think Molard and Lord Nelson are two different places...anyway I was in Brasserie du Molard and it was a really nice place with really kind waitresses and their own beers; very overpriced, otherwise recommended

Small place with brewing equipment inside. Expesive prices for their own average brews.

Ambiance is nice. Old, used, wooden interior with a small (maybe 5hl) brewery inside. Beerprices are two high, even for a microbrewery in the middle of Geneva, but food was cheaper then next door.
In conclusion, nice pub to watch rugby (womenís world cup final was on) and have a snack, but if you like to drink it will get very expensive, for ok beer, very fast.
Iíd recommend the 3x0,1 l samples for 6,50 CHF for ratebeerians.
Also; there is a difference between "Molard" and "Lord Nelson Pub", because "Nelsonís" was closed when we were there. But maybe "Nelsonís" is just the basement floor ??

The little brother of Les Brasseurs: less beer, smaller place. Since ten years ago, they still brew the same forgettable 3 beers (and one for Christmas). The place is not very big, and it doesnít look cosy. Girls at service may be lazy and unfriendly.

Brewpub with a French cafť- like atmosphere. They do have big copper kettles showing behind the bar, but the atmosphere is nontheless quite cafeish, not really beery. The selection is limited to their own three-four brews, which are ok french- style beers, perhaps a bit yeasty and dusty (but on the other hand, they feel really fresh). Didnít get anything to eat, though you can do that. Service very friendly, knowing enough English so ordering isnít a problem. Geneva- expensive pricing.

Stopped in here a few times for lunch and for beers. The restaurant is lined with copper brewing kettles, and inside seating is bar like. As your typical Geneva brew pub, they have 3 full time beers on tap (Blond, Blanche, Ambree). The Blanche is my favorite, then the Ambree and then the Blond. All decent but nothing mindblowing at all. Food is nice and relatively at a constant price with the rest of Geneva. I dont think you can take beer to go here, but not sure. Worth a stop in if you need a break from shopping as its on Rive (Place du Molard) and they have a large outdoor seating area for the warmer months.

Had terrible bad beers when I visited them back in 2003.

Beautiful location on busy square. The coppers and brewing equipment are centre stage in the pub. Itís very much beer focused, with no food. Despite this, the ambiance seemed to be a little lacking. Maybe it was because it was the middle of the afternoon. There was nothing wrong, just it didnít keep me there very long. The three beers they have are decent, but not special. However, that means they are well ahead of most of the other beers readily available close by. The staff were friendly and served me quickly.

Small place in Geneva with only 4 brews produced and sold. The blanche is a decent hefeweizen and the ambree is not bad either. However there is no beer atmosphere at the place. Probably because Geneva is more of a wine city. Still, if you are in Geneva itís one of the two microbreweries available, although there is not much difference in their products.

Brewpub in the centre of Geneva close to the lake. Serves 3 of its own beers which arenít great but are a lot better than most of the international lagers on sale in Switzerland. Very busy place & very expensive. Live sports on large screen TVs. Worth visiting if you are in Geneva but not a reson to come to the town.
