Very nice selection. This place buckled my trip beer budget and I’ll most likely regret not buying more (yep, it was one of those ‘kid in a candy store’ type experiences). The little six ounce Drake’s bottles are a buck or more expensive than Ledger’s but the Russian River Sanctification was actually a buck cheaper. Wow, lots of HoTD, locals, NoCal brews and ’05 and ’06 Fuller’s Vintage Ales. I’d been looking for the ’05. Also very nice Stone selection lots of Belgian options. The help was friendly and knowledgeable.

Only found it thanks to ratebeer. So thanks. Quite a selection. Many, but not all, beers are broken from six packs. What jimmyboy said, but lots of Flying Dog as well. The hard to find are limited as to number purchaseable per day. Not so many as Bottleworks or Johns Market, but it is great, and it is a valuable addition to the area, where it ranks near Ledgers Liquors in Berkeley.

I found this store thru this site or the other beer site, so I figure it is only fair that I write a review as well. First, off great bottle shop I counted over 400 different facings. Too, many choices of high end and hard to find ales. To name a few; 3 Port Brew., 3 Lost Abbey, 5 Hair of the Dog, 5 of the 7 Trappists (no Westvleteren unfortunately), 6 Russian River (3 liter of Damnation), 5 Ommegang, 8 Stone Brews, 4 Cantillon, Deus, and 3 Petrus all beers that CraftBC wrote about seem to still be available . Great prices on all of their beers, much lower than I have seen anywhere else. They also have 10 Sakes; they also sell beers by the single from 6 packs. The guy I talked to seemed to know his stuff, friendly, but sarcastic. A definite jewel, and yes there is porn.

I purchased a nice selection of Belgian Trappist Ales and then I met a nice girl in the parking lot who gave me half and half for the fair market price.

An unusual find in suburban Contra Costa County: a full-range liquor store with an excellent selection of craft beers. More impressively, almost all the beers are kept cold except for a few cases on the floor. I counted about 274 craft beers in late January 2007 of which 80 were not carried by BevMo. (Monument also carries another 50 or so mass-market beers which are not included in my count.) The beer selection is well-balanced between Belgian beers (about 60) and West Coast micros available by the bottle or in six packs. Notable beers on my last visit included Drake’s Barleywine Ale Brandy Barrel, Tripel Karmeliet, Girardin Black Label, Achouffe N’ice Chouffe, Cantillon Gueuze, Rogue Old Crustacean, a large selection from Hair of the Dog and three from Russian River. On average, their prices are 5% lower than BevMo on the same beers (about 200 in common). In my book, this store has the best combination of selection and pricing in the East Bay. It may not be worth traveling inland for, but if you live in the area you’ll soon be a regular and may never have to visit BevMo again!

This place is located in a little strip mall. It has a really nice beer selection as well as a nice tequila selection as well. They have a few odds and ends, but nothing that you can’t get at Ledger’s, with the exception of 3L Stone 10th and RR Redemption. The lady behind the counter was somewhat troll-like and not overly helpful or friendly. Also, this is the only beer store that I have been to that sells porno mags. I gottA give it points for the porn!!

best beer selection I have seen in the east bay. a lot of rare and craft brews. I had a lot of fun just looking around. Bought a Westvleteren 8, Stone Old Guardian, 2 Russian Rivers, 2 Unibroues, and a Hennepin last time I visited. Tough to find that kind of selection in San Luis Obispo, so I was excited.

The beer selection is okay but the guy who seems to think he runs the place is a real douchebag. He smells like a combination of Skoal & Preparation H. He swallows his words and talks a lot but really doesn’t understand the nuances of most beers. Not a bad place, but it was better when it was run by the fat blonde kid with the anger issues.

Nice selection of local micros, EJ Phair, Lagunitas and 4 count em four Russian River beers. Tons of Belgians and a few really odds and ends. Bink and Guinness Foreign Stout. They will break 6 packs and have a nice selection of other stuff as well. Wine and some damn interesting liquor.

The best beer selection I have seen in a long time. It is surprising in Concord to see a store of this caliber- on a street lined with establishments that serve the MD 20/20 and St. Ides crowd. Good variety of micros, imports, Belgians and other rare finds. In the last month I have seen beers like Westvleteren Extra 8 (but not always), Fantôme, and a weird variety of specialty micros too numerous to mention. New beers every time I patronize, excellent assortment of high end cigars, with specialty spirits and a decent wine selection for the Mrs. (sells singles)
