92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 gator2683 (7) Anchorage, Alaska | January 21, 2008 Excellent place to have some drinks and pizza. Can get very busy during weekends. | 94 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 AKHenry (1) | October 17, 2007 Almost everything about Moose’s Tooth is tip top. I live in Anchorage and stop in the restaraunt about twice a month for food, and fill up a 1 gallon growler from the bar every now and then to take home. The only problem I’ve every had is with the wait, but if you’re just visiting anchorage, it’s worth it. They have an excellent selection of regular beer, as well as roating beers which then unveil at a live concert event. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 TomDecapolis (69) Lawrence, Kansas | July 9, 2007 Hands down some of the best pizza I have had. If you are into loaded speciality pizza’s and you find yourself in Anchorage...go here
Beer is above average as well. They make some great "rock concert" style posters for their beers too. They need to start bottling this stuff just so they can get their labels out there. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 JRBowie (4) Atascosa, Texas | March 10, 2007 Mooses Tooth Pub and Pizzeria. OH my god it is the best pizza I have ever had. Oh yah they have Beer too. Heres the deal I really love 3 of their beers Fairweather IPA (surprise... surprise) Raspberry Wheat and the Pipline Stout Their wine list leaves alot to be desired. My thoughts are Pacific North West How about getting some Chatue Ste. Michelle or Columbia Crest?? purhaps some Mission Hills Ice Wine. Ok back to the beer I would also like to see atleast one Midnight Sun Tap lets get out of that box of only haveing house brewed beer on tap just a thought. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 BigJLewDawg (1) Minot, North Dakota | April 30, 2006 My favorite place to stop in Anchorage! A must stop for all visiting the city. Expect large crowds and maybe a long wait for food. Food and Beer are both wonderful, I would recomend the Rasberry Wheat! It’s a great all around beer. | 22 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 1/20 Braudog (655) Hampton, Virginia | July 17, 2005| Updated June 26, 2009 Re-rate June 2009: F*CK THIS PLACE!! I will never return to Moose’s Tooth, formerly one of my favorite places in town. The staff has become a gang of arrogant dick-heads. The pizzas here are still to die for. But while their beers continue to be solid, they don’t ever do anything different any more. But the all-time killer is the absolute shitty attitude the staff has towards people; just because the place is packed every night doesn’t give a place license to be jerks. I tried to visit here 3 times during my most recent 5 day visit. Once I aborted due to the large crowd. The second time I went at 4 pm to secure a single seat at the bar and was treated with incredible aloofness. Finally, I returned to contemplate the 1.5 hour wait and leaned over the only empty chair at the bar to order a beer -- after being ignored for 5 minutes while no one else was waiting anywhere else at the bar, I was told that I needed to get in line behind the 6 other people that had just formed a line 3 feet down the bar because "that’s how they do it here." I guess I should’ve sat down so I could be comfortable being ignored. Congratulations Moose’s Tooth, you just got the #1 spot on my new Black List. I can get a pizza and beer in a million places in the world. I’ll go 2 blocks away and be treated like a king. F.U.M.T. | 90 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 LJBrewing (2) Anchorage, Alaska | July 15, 2005 Good pizza good atmosphere and a great selection of brews. This is my #1 favorite brewpub in Anchorage. | 94 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 aracauna (66) Georgia | June 26, 2005 I love this place. Huge selection (19 of their beers were on tap while we were there and covered a large range of styles). The pizza is excellent. The atmosphere is typical laid-back pizza place. It has kind of a college feel. The place stays packed though. It’s really hard to get a table if you wait to normal meal hours to show up. It’s worth the visit though. Wait staff seemed pretty knowledgable of the beer though. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 PorterPounder (244) Tallahassee, Florida | September 13, 2004 Visited here twice while on vacation in Alaska - both times in mid afternoons and they were packed. Have at least 16 on tap with no macros in sight to soothe the masses. Have at least 25 different types of pizza and you can mix and match any way you like. They have a patio out back with events such as tastings of their new beers from time to time. Beers were above average for a brewpub and the pizza was pretty good. Worth a visit if in Anchorage but be prepared to wait for a table unless you want to sit outside on the patio or at the small bar. |
