To have just reopened under new management and business plan, this place is off to a good start. A fresh selection of hand-crafted brews gives the Morgantown area the quality brewery it deserves. While the speakeasy atmosphere of the Brass Bar is perfect for a nightcap; the conversation friendly dining area showcases local artwork and an upgraded menu of reasonably priced fares. Events like bluegrass jam sessions and beer tastings are a common place at the MBC, and the future only looks bright for this new University City watering hole. If you go, I recommend the Black and Bleu burger with the citrus-hop heavy Zach Morganís IPA.
Large old school taproom with some charm and parking in the back. Service was really pleasant and they were passionate about the beer. Decent selection all pretty solid with flights and tasters available. Food was pretty good and a reasonable price as well. A surprisingly nice stop and I would recommend to anyone.
Stopped for dinner en route to NC, during WVUís graduation. A little busier than probably normal, and we did have a bit of a wait. However, we werenít in a rush and didnít really mind. Unprompted, the manager came over to apologize for the wait on our food and bought us a round of beer, which I thought was very considerate. The food was good, the beers were solid, and the service was polite and attentive despite the business of the evening. Would go back.
Itís open at noon on Sundays, but they canít serve beer until 1PM due to the blue laws. I had a good luch while I was waiting. The menu is basically pub fare, but it is quite good. I had a killer Scotch Ale ní Onion soup as a starter. Followed that up with a bratwurst with kraut on a great roll. Excellent fries on the side. The place itself is set in a really old building. Lots of old dark wood, with brick in some areas. It has a nice charm. And my server was very attentive. Definitely worth a visit.
Awesome place. Huge. Lots of parking at 11am! Great service. Good pub food. Had plenty on tap, all very solid. Whatís not to like. Awesome place.

Looks like EricG below has an axe to grind, ignore his rating. This is the first time Iíve been here since it changed the name to Morgantown. Large and dark inside, had a tuff time reading my menu. Limited parking bugs me. Friendly service. Prices for beer are good and they have a nice size sampler of 10 for $10, good deal. Has a deck outside if you want. Food was a little pricey for the serving size but my catfish and chips were dead on! Yum! Wife and I had a good overall dining experience.

Small parking lot in the back by the river. Nice size place, u-shaped bar on the left where the taps are. Really like the sampler option. Good service and reasonable prices. I enjoyed my stop.
Located near wvu in downtown. Large spacious area with a patio area for smokers. All old wood the brewery is right in the middle several rooms, two bars and an area for a band. Didnít eat and didnít look at the menu. They had 8 of their own beers on tap and liquor.decent offerings including a shandy. Rating could change if I eat there.
