A nice place. Definitely contemporary style. About 4 TVs that have a variety of sports on. The food is small, appetizer size, with a couple of large meal-ish plates. For the neighborhood, it is well priced. I had two pork skewers in a soy sauce marinade for $4. Very attentive staff. It looks like they have room for four of their sakes on tap eventually and a decent selection of local beers.

Stopped on a Tuesday night, not astoundingly busy and seat yourself type service, server was friendly but brief offering very little insight into the sake they make, food was good, the steamed buns were tasty and the noodle bowl was good but difficult to eat for a westerner with chopsticks. Sake is cool to see come from a tap, and had a wide range of flavors, down to $10 a flight, and parking was no problem found a street 2 blocks away. touch on the high side for pricing but would definitely come back to try more sake.

Cool place, but you go here for the sake. Turns out Iíve been drinking bad sake my whole life, so thanks to this place Iíve seen the light. All MN beers on the tap list. Cool food. Hipster. Annoyance of uptown parking.

Cool atmosphere...even had japanese tv on. It gets high marks for being what it is. A sake brewpub. Pretty cool. They didnít have a lot of their sakes on tap when we were their, but the sampler flight I had was good, and the bartender was very helpful. The japanese street food was excellent as well.

This concept (a sake brewpub with Japanese street food) is excellent and they pull if off. Cool vibe, excellent food, and quality sakes. Plus, if youíre not into sake they have a decent selection of draft beer. Overall a must visit in Minneapolis.

Checked this place out due to the Beer Buddy app. Tried a flight of their sake which was $12 for 3 small samples. Had a couple Surly beers on tap as well as Summit Oatmeal Stout. Pretty cool patio upstairs as well.

We stumbled upon this randomly on a Thursday in mid-afternoon. It was a dark but modern looking atmosphere. It probably picks up quite a bit at night, I would hang out there really if I lived here. Iím not sure who else in the US makes their own Sake, but this place does, itís good, and itís on tap(along with some local favorites). We had great service and the waiter went into great depth explaining the concept of the brewing operation and their business, very informative. The food was excellent and though I donít remember my exact dish it was creative and went well withe sake. We were able to check out the smaller room where they do the sake brewing and also the upstairs patio is next on our list when we come back. Worth the visit, and I will have to come back for the patio, if not the sake!

I love this place, Iíd always enjoyed Sake but nothing beats fresh Sake on tap! Lots of different styles of Sake. If Sake isnít your thing they have Local beers on tap also. I also would recommend going in at happy hour as the Sake is rather expensive, really nice to have a 10pm-2am late happy hour. The food is hit or miss and some things can be a bit pricey, but they do change it up a lot. Service is usually friendly and if they have time will go over the Sake menu with you. All in all nothing beats a late happy hour Sake drunk.

Way cool, hip atmosphere along with great service, excellent food, and homemade sake make this place a must-see! A tour of the brewery was especially interesting. I would recommend showing up at Happy Hour as you can get a huge discount on their sake.

Visited for a late lunch on a Thursday. When I walked in, I was the only person in the place - which turned out to be great because the bartender spent a lot of time chatting with me and explaining the Sake and Food menu, as well as the concept of the plave in general. Itís a cool space, and each of the three levels has something to offer. The first level has bar seating, table seating around the back, and a couch-type loung area in back. The second floor is more of an extra bar area, and the third floor / rooftop has outdoor seating with great views of Uptown. I had the Sake sampler, which was three different 2 ounce pours, along with an educational placemat that was really helpful in understanding each style. In addition to the Sake, I ordered a Pork Ramen dish which was really fresh and tasty. Beyond Sake, they had about 8 tap handles dedicated to local beers. Overall, a cool place and certainly unique. I hope to get back in the evening with a larger group. Happy hour had some pretty great deals as well.
