What an awesome place to enjoy fresh mountain goat than at the brewery. Great atmosphere in the brewery with a good crowd and the setting itself with the equipment behind. Even though pizza is the only main food on offer it is pretty awesome. Both beer and food are great value for money.

A really nice place to have a few beers and first class pizza on a Wednesday or Friday evening. Although it is deep in an industrial part of Richmond, its not hard to get to from the city by tram and foot. Given the limited opening hours, it always fills up quickly so if you arenít there soon after 5pm you are unlikely to get a seat. Still, thereís plenty of standing room. Beerwise it all Goat with some regulars as well as special offerings. Iíd say its well worth making the effort.

Nice local brewery & bar. The bar is adjacent to the actual brewery, which ads a lot to ambience. Also got a tour of the brew-part of the place, awesome! Not a huge selection on tap. Pizzas are good. Lots of people there, good spot!

A must for any trip to Melbourne. In many ways, the home of Melbourne craft beer. Simple bar in the brewery with plenty of seating. Only open Wednesday / Friday from 5pm. Free brewery tours. Great pizza available. Core range beers plus any seasonals always on tap. Also have a írandallí on the bar running beer through a variety of ingredients. Guys from the brewery always around to have a beer with.

Made sure I would get here a Wednesday so I could visit Mountain Goat, was rather excited!
Got there a few minutes before 5 pm, opened already, so got in and ordered my first beer.
Met up with two mates, participated in the free brewery tour. Had a couple of draught beers.
Didnít eat, some kind of pizza was available though.
Nice, fast service. If I lived in Melbourne Iíd go here often, great place, if you have a Wed or Fri evening available, make sure to go here!
Filled up rather nicely, some seating available, indoors only.
Brewery visible in teh same room as the bar and seating area.

If you are in Melbourne on a Friday or Wednesday evening you must come here! Super high ceilings and cool industrial art (check out the goat sculpture made of welded kegs and taps). Good buzz and great beer, with ordinary regulars and more outstanding seasonals. If you're hungry they make their own pizzas. Cheers!

Sort of out in the middle of nowhere in an industrial park, Mt Goat is a very hip place where you get to drink right inside the brewery warehouse. They open later in the day so we stopped by The Royston Hotel across the street for a few pints before going over. The interior is a large warehouse stuffed with brewing equipment like youíd expect but there is a bar, tables, and a large dining hall of sorts. Quickly gets crowded as this place has some sort of massive clique following- lots of friends of the brewers and fans of the brewery excited for craft beer it seems. The bar inside the brewery serves up some good food (pizza, sandwiches, well almost all food in Melbourne is delicious) and allows you to get samples of the beers. Many things on tap here are not bottled and are one-off batches so itís definitely worth coming in to try some experimental stuff.

I liked this. Reminded me of Lost Abbey in San Marcos, minus the Barrels. Located in an old warehouse there is seating all over the place with the tanks in easy view. Popular. Mountain Goat have picked up their game in the last few years too, after humble beginnings and are ones to watch in the growing scene in Australia.
