Went there on a thursday about lunchtime on school holidays and very quite. A very nice set up and looking brewery. Service was ok, but he seemed a little bored. Tried moderation pale on tap, and not bad for light beer. though only had 3 styles of beer in bottles to take home, so i bought a mixed 6 pack, but wasnít really impressed, the black cockatoo, the best of the 3. the other 2 where St Bridget and Rainforest Lager.

Bit of a sad state of affairs. Theyíve got an amazing setup, let down by dodgy beers, disinterested service and extremely high tables(!!). They have six beers on tap but a sample paddle only has four beers. Of the four, two were dire, one OK and one (Black Cockatoo) really good. Not sure whatís going on here, not much passion about the place. I guess the constant stream of one-off tourist visits keeps them afloat. A shame, because in the past their beers have been great.

A liitle overcrowded on the 2 visits that I have undertaken, maybe I should try a week day. Service was okay but staff seemed a little confused about what beers were available.

Great spot mid week as weekends is very busy. Has good atmosphere though. Service can be a little time consuming when busy. Fantastic beers, no doubt on that. Any day on the Mountain is great. Join up as amember and get discounts forever.

Interesting place. The beers range from average to good. The atmosphere is a bit sterile, but they do have a pretty good selection and it isn’t too badly priced.

Canít add to much more than the other guys, except that getting served can be a struggle if a few buses turn up at the same time. Otherwise its great and the beers well made, hopefully the quality will remain after Ians departure. Iíd happily recommend the Black Cockatoo, St Bridget and Yippy IPA to anyone.

This very impressive set-up takes the Australian brewpub to new levels. Unashamedly targetting the Gold Coast Hinterlandís tourist market (and why not) I canít think of the last time I saw a seriously high volume of people from all walks of life hoovering down very well made beers matched to great bar food and a serious cheese selection via Witches Cheese. $10 will get you a 4 beer tasting tray (generous serves of say 100ml each) and individual 355ml serves are $5 - $6. Unfortunately only the Mountain Beer bitter was available for takeaways. Loved the idea of little info cards accompanying each beer. I understand that brewer Ian Watson is moving on; a damn shame given the very impressive quality of the beers.

MT Brewery has a good selection of beers available, there were nine when I visited. Itís a good set up here, also with a restaurant and cheese shop on the premises, although I didnít try any food during my visit. The beers are tasty and sample trays are available so extra points.
