Located next door to Craft Beer Market is the second National Beer Hall location. There are a variety of regional taps and bottles, and the food looks amazing, though I had just eaten next door. The decor includes a wall of 5 gallon wooden casks directly behind the bar, and the hall is very open.

Been here a few times now, always forget to rate it. Very large beer hall feel, with intimate cave-like booths lining the walls. Downstairs is a separate set of taps and full bowling alley. Food is upscale pub fare, maybe a bit above average. Service has always been fine. Beer selection is very good, tons of local craft, and there is always a few new ticks for me. A fun place, but it can get loud and crowded.

Beer quality here might be slightly better than 17th ace location. What I like here though is Foosball and ping pong to help keep you entertained. Servers arenít the sharpest, but friendly enough. If you are in a big group and want to drink beer and have fun this is a good place. If you want a quiet night with a friend, donít come here.

Long list of mostly Canadian brews. Great server, though thatís likely luck of the draw. Prices seem pretty in line with the rest of Calgary. Excellent burger, if you pay to load it up. And how many bars have a bowling alley downstairs?

Really enjoyed this place right next to craft beer market. Similar number of taps but better. No filler macro like at craft next door. Okay food. 6 samples flight for 15. Not bad. Lots of Alberta and bc with some us selections. Nice place.

preferred National location, and a pretty good bar given Calgary. Almost as good a section as 17th street, with a much better environment. You can hear yourself, there are different areas including a bourbon room, and a bowling alley under construction. Very nice physically with the kegs piled up to separate the two main areas. Very friendly and good service by both the waitress and one of the bartenders who showed us around.Easier parking.right out front.2/3 clients were ladies and the place was full. I will be back.

The new National is huge. I was there close to the opening so as things settle and construction finishes this may change. It is a stunning space, with huge bars and plenty of space to sit and meet people. Selection is enormous, probably the largest in Alberta. Food was ho hum, not bad but considering what they have done I had high hopes. It is pricey as a upscale trendy bar. With the patio and bowling going in this is going to be a great place to go.
