This place is in a large architecturally interesting building, with bars on both the ground floor and second floor (first floor if you’re from Europe). But it seemed more like a restaurant with a brewpub stuck on. Service was very attentive. Beers were varied but so-so.

Good selection of Natty brews. Pricing good with $2 pints all day Thursday. Food is good and staff friendly.

Nice place, lots of tables. Surprisingly empty on a Friday night. 12 house taps. 5oz samples are $1.50. Beers were slightly above average, and food was decent.

Great combo of a brew pub and a sports bar at the upper floor. Kerping the good brew pub athmosphere yet having few, not too many screens. Great beers, 1,5 dollar samplers, food is fantastic and the staff just made our day. Highly recommended.

On a trip to Columbia to be with Taylor and Olivia we visited the brew-pub in Greensboro. The downstairs had a big mural on the wall. The beers were lisited on a blackboard on the wall. The Colonial IPA was excellent. Upstairs in the pub there were TVs and a pool table . The perfect bar for downtown. There were also tables outside when the weather is good. We had a large Big Mitchell salsa and chips that was excellent.

Originally reviewed: 11/25/09. Finally stopped in here to actually eat. Met a friend after work. Came on a Tuesday night so there was plenty of available space. Nice bar area set in the back of the restaurant with a second bar and a couple pool tables in the loft area. Service was pretty decent. Our drinks took a little bit to arrive but no big deal. The food was average for a pub. I got a spicy burger, which was good, but the potato salad side had way too much mayonnaise on it. All in all not bad. Had a pint of 2 of their brews. Both above average. I could see this place filling up on certain nights, like Thur. when all pints are $2! I’d come back here again.

Food is fine. Their Pale Ale is quaffable but boring like the rest of their brews. Odd folks. They have this notion that their beers rock for some reason. They do not. Tired old recipes. I tried to pick the brain of one of their brewers regarding my first homebrew at an event I attended. Insights and advice for a novice, ya know. This derp treated me with arrogant disdain. The hubris was nauseating. Avoid unless you enjoy tasteless, uninspired brews just a step above the macros.

Great food, great service, great beer. One of my favorite NC breweries. Simple review, but that is all that needs to be said.

A strickingly superb old building on Elm Street, converted into a brewpub, with high ceiling, 2 floors, all wooden, with multiple fans on the ceiling. Beers are decent to very good. Did not try the food. Good and friendly service. Samples are availble for 1.50$ per 4 on. pours.

Natty’s is a really cool brewpub to enjoy good beer over good food with good friends. Their regular lineup is excellent and the seasonal brews are exceptional as well. There are two bars and a private third floor for parties. There are three eating areas: a dining area on the first floor (seated by a hostess), a first-come first-serve area with large round tables upstairs near the second bar, and an outdoor area which faces Elm Street. One of my favorite places to spend a weekend evening.
