This is one great store!! The owner was very friendly and helpful, prices excellent (specially compared to Happy Deli) and the selection was amazing!! Went there twice and if I ever go to New York again, this is the place I will visit!!

This place is Freaking Amazing,
and I’m NOT Shitting You!
It’s pretty warm in this joint and many of the bottles are dusty, but they selection is an absolute cream dream! Southamption, Victory, DFH, Fantome, Cantillon, Westy, whatever Unibroue 10 & 11…. What do you want? – Because they are most likely going to have something you desire!
If you go to Manhattan and you don’t make it by this store… then your not a true Beer Geek! – It’s right in the Middle of ChinaTown… grab an authentic bite to eat somewhere as well and it will help take your mind off the $100+ you just spent on Amazing Beer! – GO!

Couple some of the best prices I have found anywhere with an extensive selection and a helful and knowledgable staff and it adds up to the finest specialty beer store I have ever seen. The prices are far lower than outside the city which was not what I had expected. Name something not on the shelf and they go and check to be sure they don’t have it, we were never told &quo; No, we don’t carry that&quo; Worth seeking out if you are in Manhattan.

Absolutely terrific in 2005, not so great in 2007! However, the prices are fantastic for Manhattan. There is NO reason to go to Bierkraft if New Beer continues to get the gourmet items (Fantome, Cantillon, Sans Culottes, Southampton). Nevertheless, in Manhattan, I’d stop at Whole Foods (Bowery & Houston St.) first.
brbrService in 2007 was largely non-existent.
