The only place in Manhattan where a beer lover can feel truly excited to find beers they have never seen or tasted before, no matter how much they have tasted. Really, the selection of beer is huge, and the beers are all divided up by countries, which I like. You can find many beers here that you will not find anywhere else in the city, so for that reason, this is a beer lovers best friend. Prices here are not cheap, not considering the price of NYC, they are great, and are better than almost every other place Iíve been to with a comparable selection of beers. This is a family owned place that is friendly, but not too clean and "professional". They do offer beers on tap for growlers, though the selection is usually never very big. I like this place a lot, and it is great to find rare beers (for NYC) at great prices. Check it out, but just donít take all the rare beers from me, ok?

Room temperature open air her warehouse in the Bowery. A lot of the beer has been sitting around for a long time. While the selection is vast, itís nothing to write home about. Mostly shelf turds from the likes of Clown Shoes, Smuttynose, Etc.

I thought I was in beer heaven when I came into this business. There was beer everywhere! However, the staff were quite ignorant.

The selection is very nice and the beers I bought werenít that old (2-5 month). The service was great - I was looking for US states I hadnít rated jet and the guy working there was very helpful and knew his beers very well. The atmosphere is poor, but the beers werenít dusty or something I would have expected. Not cheap, but I can recommend this place!

I have been to this place several times. They have some very hard to find items, along with more mainstream brews and a few tap lines. The people who work here are friendly, but I have to take a couple of points off for service. Why? Because the place is never open past 6 oíclock or so, and closed on Sundays, thus making it a little difficult to get to. My guess is it is as much a wholesale distributor than a bottle shop.

A shabby warehouse full of out-of-date beers and the occasional rarity. A great place to stop in if you know what youíre looking for. But beware grabbing a random IPA of the shelf if youíre not certain itís a new release.

Located in a rather quiet part of Chinatown (compared to the nearby Canal St.), the store offers a dazzling collection of beers. Yes, some of them are past BBD. Yes, the place is a shabby warehouse. Yes, the staff may seem to be rather disinterested at first sight. But they are not unfriendly, and their selection of products is definitely a reason for visiting this place while in Manhattan.

This place my have a lot of bottles, though outside of the impressive Italian and Belgian sections, not a lot too exotic or that canít be found in other places. Itís a warehouse which is great for breweries bad for bottle shops. The day I visited was in the mid 80ís and it was just as hot inside. Prices in NYC are ridiculous enough but I would never spend money at place that treated their product so badly.

Iíd heard a lot of good things about this place so I was a little let down when I checked it out for myself. My biggest problem being how old a lot of the stuff on the shelves here was. Two year old IPAs? No thanks. (One was actually 4 years old.) There was also no customer service at allówhich seems to be the overall way of things in Manhattan.
The selection is pretty great for whatís available in New York as long as you keep an eye on dates. The ambiance is very...industrial.
