Finally stopped in here. dirty warehouse and staff wasn’t around when i was there other than cashier behind bullet proof glass, although i didn’t test to see if glass was in fact that strong. Prices were good for NY. didn’t see anything super special but decent quality stuff and some different selections. the box they gave me to put beer in was super dirty and filthied up my jacket.

After the reviews I was underwhelmed. Dimly lit with no selection service even though the people behind the purchasing counter are friendly and helpful. Prices a little bit on the better side. Selection is pretty good but not nearly as good as Eagle Provisions in Brooklyn

Excellent selection, and extremely helpful staff. Not to expensive. All in all, I found what I was looking for, and more...

A beer warehouse with good prices and a huge selection. My only gripe was it was winter and due to the open setup it was freezing, and after 20 minutes of looking I was incredibly cold and wanted to get somewhere warmer. This dampened my experience somewhat. But overall the service was helpful (if a bit sparse) and the selection and prices were great. Will be going back for sure.

Basically a warehouse right down the street form Whole Foods-Bowery. Really just a bunch of shelves stocked full of craft beer at very good prices for this part of the city. Couple harder to find beers, but what makes them special is the size of their selection. Service was very attentive as well.

After reading all the reviews I just HAD to visit this joint since I am a native NYer (though I moved to AZ in 1993 before the internet) Walked in and thought ’this is pretty small’ as I walked through to the back of the place and looked for a restroom I needed. Found the restroom and told my dad to ask someone where the Stouts and Porters were. Came out and he had not encountered anyone yet, so I went to the front *maximum security* checkout counter to ask where they keep the Porters and Stouts. The old Asian lady behind the bullet-proof glass barked "we dont have it!"... naturally, I was sorely disappointed but figured since I came all the way from AZ I should investigate further. I found the import section which was nicely stocked even though it has been years since I cared for any imported beer. Then, out of the blue, like a magic beer genie appears a young caucasian woman who knew exactly where all the Stouts and Porters were! To make a long story short (oops, too late!) I found some interesting stuff there but not really the phenomenon that seems to be suggested by other reviewers. Prices were a bit on the high side as well.

For breadth/depth of selection and price this is one of the two best places you can shop in NYC. The other is the Whole Foods Beer room down the street. It’s a wholesale and consumer Manhattan warehouse store...industrial and gritty the way it should be...with safety glass for the cashier. The selection is huge and though haphazard you will find some gems. You can order by the case. I haven’t got the sense that the staff are very into beer but you are here because you don’t likely need that. They are friendly and helpful though.

Wonderful bottle shop in the Bowery area. I have no idea how many beers they have, but it’s alot! It’s like a huge storage room with shelves full of American and international beers. Good prices, very good if you come from Scandinavia. Also some rare beers could be found. Don’t miss it!

Looks like a warehouse - for beer. Huge selection. Lots of oddities. Value is better than average for New York City. Some beers were priced much better than others. Staff was friendly and helpful to me, but generally leave you to do your shopping unless you ask for something.

Visited in August 2012. I liked this place a lot, friendly and relaxed. I think that its perfect to walk around in the store without having any employees behind your back. Just take your time and enjoy the view. The selection was huge, the bottles were sorted by country. (unexpectedly large number of beers from Scandinavia). Good prices, very good compared to Sweden. A must place to visit, easy to find not far from Bowery Metro Station.
