76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 TallyBeer (8) Florida | June 15, 2011 Tallahassee’s local coop. A good selection of beer for a food coop and the beer guy is always willing to help out. Wine and beer tastings on a regular basis. If you’re looking for a local business to support that has bulk and organic foods as well as a solid beer selection, you’d be hard pressed to find a better place in Tallahassee. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 jbruner (56) Tallahassee, Florida | January 30, 2013 Organic co-op grocery store that has a good beer selection. They have decently priced singles and bigger packages, average to what you would expect in Tallahassee. Friendly service, but they don’t specialize in the beer. Pretty good selection that has some variance to other places in town. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 rbrazell (24) Tallahassee, Florida | July 26, 2012 Nice organic grocery store that has a good beer selection. They stock a decent amount of weird imports that I don’t see anywhere else. One a big plus side you can pull singles out of any pack unlike Liquor Loft which a huge help when you don’t want to pay $22 for a 4 pack of Gulden Draak 9000 Quadruple. | 62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 darn1207 (72) Tallahassee, Florida | July 12, 2011 The hippie commune type grocery store - decent selection of the typical micros for Tallahassee. Pricing is a little random - some high and some bargains. Sell singles. Usually there for something specific food-wise and can generally always find a beer or two I haven’t tried. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 15/20 azterik (10) Tallahassee, Florida | June 17, 2011 Definitely a nice place to visit for organic food and beer. Good selection on some hard to find brews, especially if they’re not the most popular. Always worth the trip even if they haven’t gotten any new beer in. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Belthor (10) , | May 5, 2011 This store has a great selection for a grocery store. There are certain beers that this is the only place in town to buy them. They deli has some good takeout food, so grab some food and a beer to go. Staff mostly doesn’t know very much about beer (this is a grocery store after all), but is very friendly and helpful. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 mlunger12 (46) Orlando, Florida | March 7, 2011 This place is pretty much Tallahassee’s version of a Whole Foods, all Organic, health style foods. Beer is all Micros, everything is kept cold, selection is good for the town, if i’m looking for something that that Proof is out of then a nice place to stop by. | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 Aurelius (109) Tallahassee, Florida | December 11, 2010 The beer selection isn’t fantastic, but I stop by here a couple of times a month because they’ll have some oddballs that don’t make it to the local Publix or Market Square Liquors. Things tend to be a little over-priced, but you can’t get soy chicken nuggets in a health food store for less than $9. Cigar City, Magic Hat, Sam Smith, Rogue, Stone, Abita, various Belgians, Sam Adams, screwball Belgians. The deli food is decent, but high. In the grocery department, I usually pick up some off beat items like textured soy, celery root or shiitake. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 drowland (142) Jacksonville, Florida | August 14, 2009 Just moved to Tallahassee and stumbled up on this place on accident, and I’ve been back quite a bit since, but mainly for groceries. The ambiance is nice. Bright, friendly, and Green (not the color...). The service has been hit or miss. The cashiers are always really talkative and super nice, but I’ve never once been offered help by any of the floor associates, who all look like after-burn hippies. The selection of health and organic foods is good, and the beer selection is actually decent, too. It’s a small and somewhat limitied cooler, but it’s full of specialty beers, organic beers, gluten-free beers, and lots of reasonably priced singles, including Belgians. The pricing is high compared to a normal grocery store, but that is to be expected for a co-op organic/natural store. Overall, I will continue to visit this place, but primarily for groceries, as the Liquor Loft has a much better beer selection on the other side of town. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 daknole (300) Scottsdale, Arizona | June 8, 2009 Hippie fun and beers. What else do you need! |
