88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 frylock (80) Atlanta, Georgia | March 2, 2010 Conveniently located about 1/2 mile from my work this is where I always go to get my brewing supplies. They have a wide range of ingredients and equiptment. Very rarely do they run out of something you may want. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Overall it is a great LHBS. My only complaint is that they are not open on Sunday. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 rudolf (100) Buffalo, New York | November 15, 2009 This is my LHBS & I’m lucky that it is. A great selection of products and a very knowledgeable staff make this a superb store. 99% of what I need is available whenever I walk in. Special orders are a breeze, with good communication when the product comes in. They offer a 10% discount for people in the AHA or a local club. | 88 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 IPFreely (143) Sanborn, New York | May 16, 2008| Updated March 6, 2012 I haven’t been to too many homebrew shops, and I don’t really brew, but this is a great place to get your supplies. They have a ton of stuff and are very helpful. If you’re a homebrewer, this is easily the best place in the area. Update: I brew now, and this is definitely where I go for my supplies. The service is still outstanding, and they typically have everything I need in stock. If you need particular yeast strains, specialty grains, or odd hops, just call ahead and they’ll take a look for you and/or order things for you if they’re out. I’ll be getting my hop rhizomes from there in the very near future as well. | 88 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 18/20 rob897 (10) Buffalo, New York | October 15, 2007| Updated March 6, 2012 very friendly staff, they helped me get a decent starter kit and didn’t try to push me up to buy any extras. | 94 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 19/20 ElJefe (9) Rochester, New York | September 21, 2007| Updated March 6, 2012 Very cool homebrew shop. They have every type of grain and every type of hop that you could imagine. Tons of equipment. They have ingredients for winemaking as well. Very helpful with questions and advice. I was impressed, I will stop in whenever I am in the area, which is pretty often. | 96 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 hopson (11) Williamsville, New York | July 17, 2007| Updated March 6, 2012 This is a homebrew shop, one that I feel fortunate enough to live near. The ambiance really does not matter that much to me, and it shouldn’t to you. They have what you need, Paul and Becky are both super cool and great to deal with, and the prices are reasonable. Hit this place up, then make a b-line to Premier for some brew to drink while brewing (that is, unless you have some homebrew in the fridge, which I usually do not if I am brewing). Great place, and the tastings are fun as well. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 beerlord (11) tonawanda, New York | February 2, 2007| Updated March 6, 2012 Paul is a good guy to deal with, go when yo have some time to sit and chat. Long time customer. No need to mail order with this shop 10 minutes away. Parking lot is a pain inthe but to get out of if you dont’ know the area. | 14 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 1/10 SELECTION 2/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 2/20 NewEnglandDad (1) | January 4, 2007| Updated March 6, 2012 One of my favorite Homebrew shops. Good selection and prices. Great brown box kits. Have hours so you can actually get in to buy something. I don’t live in area but always stop when near.

Interesting selection of specialty grains, some of which I had not even heard of prior to going here. Source of some of the prizes for 2004 Ratebeer Homebrew Competition. |
