Out at the end of an industrial park area, next to train tracks with frequently passing trains, which can be neat if youíre into that things. Excellent patio for its beautiful mountain view. An employee briefly smoke next to the patio. Really cool brewpub interior. Interesting dťcor. Big and comfortable. Our service wasnít bad, but not great either. Taps were the same 6 beers you can get at any liquor store in AZ, plus 1 special that wasnít part of the sampler. Food was very good. Fair prices.
Perhaps the worst service I have ever had. When I asked if they had anything special on tap, the bartender took her hand, pointed at the tap handles and walked away without a word. When she finally returned, I asked of they had a Sampler tray. She made some lame excuse about not having enough glasses.
Reserved a table on a Sunday afternoon for myself and some friends, had pretty good time! It was pretty dead, but the bartender was a nice server. The selection is OK, they seemed to have a lot of their beers available on tap, didnít notice any guest taps. Food was good, I liked the wings and burgers. Value was good. Lots of room to party.
Nimbus is a bit mediocre, and probably my least favorite of the breweries in Tucson. They do have good guest taps, but charge quite a bit more for the guest beers.
For much better beer, I recommend Barrio or Dragoon. For better beer and great food, I recommend Thunder Canyon.
Stopped in on a Saturday night to find a big crowd. Many were there for the band. I had the sampler and there was not a loser to be found. All were above average and nice takes on classic versions. The Old Monkeyshines was not classic but was wild and tasty. It came in at 9 % ABV but everything else was more sessionable including a 3.5 offering. Our food was exceptionally good. Their burgers are always rated top in town and my wife liked hers. I had their Cuban and enjoyed it. The place is kind of by itself with no other night life around and you have to look for it. I would recommend Nimbus to anyone. Their beers were all rock solid and things were reasonably priced.
Stopped by during a day trip to Tucson. Pretty good ambiance in an industrial district. You certainly wonít stumble upon this place. Had a sampler of eight of their beers plus one other from a different brewery. Beer is slightly above average some good selections but not blown away. Food is so-so. Worth a stop if in the area.
stopped by a few times and really dug the atmosphere every time but could not get past the attitude of the staff. Food is average and the draft beer is good when itís on. I have been 4-5 times now and there have been tap issues 3 of those times. Looks like it could be a really cool place to hang out but Iíve run into too many problems to continue to go.
