58 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 Caytinator (63) Tucson, Arizona | April 8, 2013 Reserved a table on a Sunday afternoon for myself and some friends, had pretty good time! It was pretty dead, but the bartender was a nice server. The selection is OK, they seemed to have a lot of their beers available on tap, didn’t notice any guest taps. Food was good, I liked the wings and burgers. Value was good. Lots of room to party. | 12 AMBIANCE 1/5 SERVICE 2/10 SELECTION 1/15 FOOD 3/10 VALUE 2/10 OVERALL 2/20 joseph85750 (3) Arizona | January 14, 2013 Nimbus is a bit mediocre, and probably my least favorite of the breweries in Tucson. They do have good guest taps, but charge quite a bit more for the guest beers.
For much better beer, I recommend Barrio or Dragoon. For better beer and great food, I recommend Thunder Canyon. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 6/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Strykzone (78) Wood River, Illinois | March 4, 2012 Stopped in on a Saturday night to find a big crowd. Many were there for the band. I had the sampler and there was not a loser to be found. All were above average and nice takes on classic versions. The Old Monkeyshines was not classic but was wild and tasty. It came in at 9 % ABV but everything else was more sessionable including a 3.5 offering. Our food was exceptionally good. Their burgers are always rated top in town and my wife liked hers. I had their Cuban and enjoyed it. The place is kind of by itself with no other night life around and you have to look for it. I would recommend Nimbus to anyone. Their beers were all rock solid and things were reasonably priced. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 dchmela (100) Orlando, Florida | January 29, 2012 Brewery tuck away on a side street in a warehouse. Good basic lineup of brews, food looked decent and growlers available to go. Good place to visit. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 mjsnaz (4) Surprise, Arizona | October 1, 2011 Stopped by during a day trip to Tucson. Pretty good ambiance in an industrial district. You certainly won’t stumble upon this place. Had a sampler of eight of their beers plus one other from a different brewery. Beer is slightly above average some good selections but not blown away. Food is so-so. Worth a stop if in the area. | 50 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 4/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 8/20 fata2683 (131) Tucson, Arizona | June 17, 2011 stopped by a few times and really dug the atmosphere every time but could not get past the attitude of the staff. Food is average and the draft beer is good when it’s on. I have been 4-5 times now and there have been tap issues 3 of those times. Looks like it could be a really cool place to hang out but I’ve run into too many problems to continue to go. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 Pookie9121 (18) Atlanta, Georgia | April 21, 2011 I really enjoyed this place from the moment I walked in I felt like i had gone back in time to the old west. The place is mostly old wood with one central bar in the middle and a few tables sprinkled around. From anywhere you can see the large beer tanks in the brewery (no wall separates them from the bar area) They had a good selection of beers from Pale Ales to Stouts. I was able to get a sample of almost all of them for free. :-) They have Growlers and beers sold by the 6 pack. Overall a great little brewery. If in the area I recommend giving it a shot. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 troyc (147) Oklahoma | March 13, 2011 Nestled in the back of a warehouse district, so it wasn’t very easy to find if you were unfamiliar with the area. The inside of the place was dark and eclectic, with cool artwork and lots of people for a weekday afternoon. They had about six or seven beers on tap and others in bottles. I was hoping for a sampler, but they didn’t have one. The bartender was generous with the samples and pours though. Good beer, but didn’t try the food. A cool place. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 Savvy1982 (70) Lethbridge, Alberta | March 11, 2011 A large, welcoming place, service was outstanding, food was well above average, sadly the beers didn’t live up to the standard. Beers were weak to average, but they DO have guest taps, with beers from Bells, Firestone Walker, and others available. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which was great, served with their "haystack onions". The fried bologna sandwich also seemed to be an excellent choice. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 Sledutah (208) Utah | December 3, 2010 Nice big warehouse that you wouldn’t find unless you’re looking for it, just like Barrio. The food was good, the beer was average. |
