70 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 omhper (157) Stockholm, Sweden | March 11, 2013 Relaxd riverside place with big patio and relaxed atmosphere. Food was well prepared, but not adventurous. The beers were correct, but not stunning. Nice place, but not a destination in itself. | 78 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Blairgus (74) California | December 22, 2012 22 dec 2012. Nice little place in a sort of strip mall. 9 if their own beers on tap and one guest tap. Friendly staff ad decent prices. | 50 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 8/20 Bigharleyman (1) Spokane, Washington | November 4, 2012 Changed name to NoLi Brewhouse | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 maxwelldeux (65) Raleigh, North Carolina | March 18, 2012| Updated June 18, 2013 I’m a huge fan of brewpubs, and this one did not disappoint. I was generally a fan of the food here and had a pleasant meal. They’ve got a great sampler option where you can try everything they have on tap. Definitely worth stopping in to try their beer. | 76 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 bulldogg915 (10) Denver, Colorado | May 19, 2011| Updated June 18, 2013 Just finding the place will work up your appetite for beer! Who would guess you need directions to get to the beer AFTER you walk in the front door?? (btw- go immediate right then hook a left then you’ll see it on the left all the way down- ha!) Indoor stripmall mall beer- mmmm sounds good right?? It’s an ’ok’ from me. I got there right at opening and the girl pouring out the samplers (had 9 total) was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about each one of them- bonus! Looking from my ratings I had Solar Winds and Creme Ale as the best (6/10 and 7/10). Subpar at best. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 vacantskies (6) Spokane, Washington | February 18, 2011| Updated June 18, 2013 The food is pretty good at Northern Lights. They have a selection of their own beer on tap. I won’t get in to the quality of their beer in this place rating. They usually have one or two seasonals. The quality of the staff is hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll get someone that can tell you everything about the beer, sometimes they can’t tell you the style. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 Sledutah (208) Utah | December 27, 2010| Updated June 18, 2013 As stated before, this is easy to miss if your not looking for it. It’s in an old warehouse next to the river, sitting off Trent. The bar and seating area it big with plenty of seating and a few TV’s. The food we had was good (calamari and jambalya. The beer was good. | 74 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 curly (114) Kirkland, Washington | June 18, 2010| Updated July 8, 2010 Kind of weird place. You walk into a building, No not the coffee place, no not the Thai place, Oh here it is Northern Lights, here’s the big neon sign. A bar with lots of tables. Definitley a college place. People taking shots more than drinking beer.Beer was decent though and the waitstaff were all pretty ladies, they didn’t know so much about the beer but who cares. All in all a good experience but this place certainly does not have a normal brewpub feel. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 BrewDad (413) Olympia, | August 20, 2008| Updated July 8, 2010 We arrived late afternoon in Spokane Washington as they where also suffering from a sudden explosion of the sun and the heat index was way over 100 degrees. So what was in order? Yep you guessed correct cold beer was needed and Northern Lights Brewing was the next stop. Tucked in the heart of Spokane Northern Lights was a perfect stop. I was greeted with a sample tray of 10 different beer and all very good. The light pale ales where wonderful the Huckleberry crème was very tasty and fruity with the dark stout full of life and hit the spot. I had dinner here and the food was very tasty and pub faire which is what I love. They did have a spendy section but I stayed with a burger and that was perfect. This place from what I can see can get packed so get there early and if you have time hit the distillery next door. Dry Fly distilling the first Micro Distiller in Washington state. They have some wonderful products and samples to go around Vodka, Gin and even some special Whiskey. This is a great little place in itself and just adds to the whole Spokane experience. So get some beer take a tour of the distillery and brewery and have a great time. This was also connected to about 2-3 different restaurants all with different flair so you can find some great food for what ever your taste. So at the end of a great day hit the brewery and have a great time good food and an awesome pub atmosphere. Oh I all most forgot to mention it is ok to bring the kids. | 74 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 jhanske (2) Seattle, Washington | March 30, 2008 I drove by and around this place for 15 minutes. Sensing a brewery all I could see for signage was for a Thai restaurant. However after much harrmphing we could see that there was a sign next to the Thai restaurant that indeed read Northern Lights Brewery. Happy Freakin Day! GET A BIGGER SIGN! Please! We had to cross the river on Trent to realize there was indeed something besides a thai restaurant going in this wierd stripmall/brickbuilding/riverwalk thing. Once we got in the person who waited on us was extremely helpful and personable. She was not the most knowledable beer person but that is not an issue for me. Oddly enough for all the beer places I have visited this is more the norm that not. I do not begrudge a wait oerson if they are not well versed in every beer style ever made. I was offered samples for any beer I mentioned and I was made to feel welcome. I would definitely return. If I lived in Spokane I would be a regular. |
