Awesome little place - visited after the Torando since it is practically right next door. Does not have near the selection of course as Torondao, but what they do have are very good beers. Atmosphere is incredible and very unique - looks like a cave with ancient Indian hyroglyphics, great little seating sections to make it pretty private. Very impressed.

weird little cave/bar we visited for sour beers during SF beer week. Friendly. Not sure Iíd hit em up normally, and most of the beers were bottled, but they had a decent tap list outside of the event.

Been to Toronado a hundred times and never bothered to walk a couple doors down and go here. Really crazy place. Like walking into the middle of an acid trip, which fits into the Haight, I guess. Really crazy chairs, different colored lights, interesting patterns/paint on the walls, etc. Was pretty loud, too. The beer list isnít amazing, but itís certainly respectable. If the Toronado is too packed or too surly for you, might be worth a quick stop.

Apparently this place has been here forever and Iíve managed to walk right by it dozens of times going to/from Toronado, which is a couple doors down. Itís actually a decent place. I mean, itís a bit weird with the medieval look and the high backed chairs that are bolted to the ground but theyíve got a good selection and the bartender was really nice. Actually, those weird chairs were only for the bar. The tables were in their own little alcoves. I had a DIPA from one of the east bay breweries that wasnít half bad and they had a few other good ones on tap in addition to the usual stuff that every bar has like New Belgium, Speakeasy, and Anchor. They also have quite a few bottles in the fridge and they serve some warm sake. Not sure Iíll be stopping in here very often but Iíll certainly check the sandwich board outside to see whatís on tap when I head over to Toronado.

Next door to Toronado...strange inside...the whole place is designed to look like a cave. Pillows on the floor for sitting and some tables too...decent beer selection for a small bar with Belgians and locals and a few sakes too. Stick your head in the door, but since it is next to Toronado, it will lose the battle for best bar in the area for sure. Toronado was crazy packed when we were in there so we had a couple of amazing beers and went in here, where we spent the rest of the night drinking sake.
