Easy to find, plenty of parking, friendly staff. Good selection, not just regionally, but nationwide (within Virginiaís archaic alcohol import laws) and globally. Has a number of beers that are not available in DC. Worth a stop.

Great selection of singles, US, German and Belgian, though not as expansive as the selection at Chevy Chase, this is a pretty good store, even when I was told during my visit that their selection was dwindling that day. Prices were great, I think this is where I will pick up a lot of the more common, but exceptional, bottle conditioned Belgians that I like to cellar. Really the only thing available here that you canít get in DC/MD would be Legend, but I like their prices... plus THEY HAVE CAVE CREEK CHILI BEER!!

A rather small place that puts more emphasis on beer than wine or decorations. The service was confined to the registers, though they were friendly. There are plenty of beers to choose from here, and they offer a 10% discount on 6 or more bottles.

The killer app here is the 10% discount they offer when you make your own sixer. The downside to that is they donít exactly have the biggest sixer selection. They have a few things here I havenít seen yet in other shops but I didnít see a ton here that wasnít available in other stores. The store is decorated like a fraternity party basement which seems to be the clientele theyíre going after. The service on wine seemed more alert than it was for beer. Itís a solid store but not worth me schlepping all the way out to Vienna.

Tucked away next to Fresh Market about four blocks from Vienna Whole Foods so nice to do these back to back. Solid craft beer focused bottle shop like a mini Perfect Pour. Lots of singles, lots of beers you will not find regularly, lets you do mixed six packs it looks like with ~$2 per 12oz for your normal stuff. Knowledgeable, beer geek staff. Prices are higher, not as outrageous as Perfect Pour. But a lot of stuff was a good +$2-3 more than the same stuff at Vienna WF, *if* Whole Foods had it in stock. Will be back to find some more interesting single bottles. One big qualm that I cannot nick the score for here like Perfect Pour is that AT&T gets no service in here so tough luck if you are trying to look up which beers you havenít had. Ugghhhhh.

This is the best beer store in the greater D.C. area as far as Iím concerned. Nice selection, and the staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to talk beer. Plus, they do bulk discounts on 6 or more singles or 6 or more 6 packs.

Nice little shop in Vienna with a good craft beer selection of domestics and imports. Nice amount of 4 and 6 packs along with bomber bottles and a selection of singles. Discounts including 6 bottles of singles and/or bombers, any combination. Prices are some of the best for local shops in the area. They have a small section of snack foods (peanuts, chips, etc) and dips/salsas/hot sauces. Staff is pretty helpful whenever you have questions. They post most if not all of their new arrivals to Facebook and Twitter which is nice to know when things come in. The more limited releases tend to get snatched up pretty fast despite the bottle limit if youíre not quick enough to get there.

Great store not too far off the beltway. Great selection of regional, US and foreign beers. A bit small - ample parking. Definitely worth a stop.

Through the unrelenting hell of NOVA to get here. Tucked away in the corner of a strip-mall, I think one of the nicest things about Norms is the ambiance: pleasant, woody wine store vibe. Plenty of room to move around, with cases, shelves, and bottles everywhere. The service was quite friendly, and not intrusive. And they have some nice discounts available. I confess to being a bit disappointed with the selection. The Belgians were fairly perfunctory, with some Gouden Carolus, Chouffe, and other major players but nothing especially quirky or rare. Much the same with micros (I actually didnít see any Scandinavians at all, though there appeared to be a good representation of German and British beers). Lots of regional coverage from Troegs, et. al. Not many bombers, compared to sixers everywhere. Some Stone, a couple Southern Tier, 1 Smutty, but a bit of a letdown all things considered.

Locals are lucky to have Normís and Whole Foods Vienna within 3 blocks of each other. Go to Whole Foods for the Trappists, but stop by Normís for the wider selection of micros, particularly Virginia ones. And whichever one you hit first, leave room in your trunk for the second stop.
