Stopped by on our recent trip for a late dinner. Cozy spot with great atmosphere. They were out of a few specials, so I went with the Florenville Black Pudding in Orval sauce, fantastic. Excellent tap selection along with bottles.

This is a great little restaurant. Lots of solid bottles to choose from plus a few tap with some local beers. It’s really hard to choose what to eat. I wanted 5 entrees on the menu. Some entrees were rabbit cooked in gueuze and beef stew cooked in Rochefort. I had the lamb curry, which was a special. I tried the lamb leg too and it was unbelieveable. Get there early. Holds maybe 20 people.

Tucked away in the heart of Brussels. It’s a quaint place with a friendly atmosphere. The food is absolutely fantastic. A nice bottle selection to boot. You must stop in here when visiting Brussels.

Excellent venue, the staff were excellent, and very knowledgable, the beer they had was in excellent condition, and definitely some of the less mainstream you’ll fund I. Brussels. The food was great and reasonably priced, the beer was a little expensive compared, to other beer venues. All in all, a definite must see for any explorative beer drinker in Brussels.

Date of visit, 5th March 15. Busy little place, I was on business, so just a table for one, I had to wait maybe 10 minutes, which was fine while I viewed the beer menu, the list is well thought out and there are some good quality, though not rare bottles. I had 3 Fonteinens Oude Kriek and Tilquin, L’Ancienne Oude Geuze. Food was fine. Essentially this place is a good place to eat and not interrupt high quality quaffing of beers in Brussels

82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20
Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night, was quite lucky to get a table because the place is quite small and the wait can be long (plus except from a small bar, there are no real waiting options, so consider someplace else if your party has 5 or more people). That being said, once I was seated I got quite good service, constant attention. The prices I found quite high, even for the center of Brussels. I know places in north america where you can get Cantillon for almost the same price, only here it is made just down the street. The food was tasty and reasonably priced for city center levels. The selection here is really good. You can tell it is handpicked and quality selection, as you don’t have ot sort through hundreds of pages of Belgian swill, here you can almost point a beer randomly on the menu and get something good. I also really liked the decor here, it is kind of old style but well lit and cozy. I would definitely return.
