The best part was when the Dali-esque waiter snapped at us for insisting we pour our own bottles. "You’re the geeks" became a classic line the instant he let it go. Our worries about this faux pas dissolved a few minutes later when we saw him glug-glug-glug a yeasty pour for another patron. Most of Belgium, it seems, does not know how to carefully pour Belgian beer without mixing in the yeast. Still, the people in charge here know their stuff better than most. The setting is cozy, classic and intimate, and the selection of beer is well curated. I highly recommended a visit to this gastropub while in Brussels for beer.

Visited after a long time of looking forward to it , on a weekday .
The beerlist here is very nice, yet not super-exceptionally . Some lambics, some of the big bottles cantillon ( iris ) , 2 beers of white pony to represent internationnal brands , some Alvinne ,... Their housebeer is OK , made by Alvinne but WAY to expensive , as to be expected .
The food was not that great . at all . I took a stew, the meat was really dry , and to be honest, very taseless ... Ive had way better stew , at countless places .... This is in contradiction to the awesome service , who could answer all my quesions , who poured the beer perfectly , and who was just very friendly in general .
All by all , certainly a nice place. Really small and cosy to sit . But not nearly as exceptionnal as the hype goes ....

I am so happy I checked out RB for restaurants, or we would have never found this gem. It’s a very small place and no reservations are taken, so arrive early! The food is very Belgian and quite well prepared. Perhaps not the latest word in culinary quality (and certianly not originality) but its flavourful and only the start. The true power of this place is, for me, in the service. Not only very knowledgable and fast, they are just super friendly people. Whether we spoke Dutch, French or English with them, they are passionate about the beer and so happy to help. Talking abotu the beer, I loved their selection. Taps are limited but great Belgians and with interesting guests. They clearly try to focus on really good beer from Belgian, with classic and modern brewers (and styles) represented and a large amount of fun stuff to try. I understand frustrations of people who had to wait here, but you can’t fault them for their success. Arrive in time and have a great food and beer experience!

Sitauted around 5 mins walk from Moeder Lambic and near the Mannequin Pis this is a little restaurant with a few tables outside.
We sat outside as very busy on the Friday night with people queueing to get in. Food was good, service quick by Belgian standards and there was a decent range of beer. Handy for a foodstop and worth a look

Nice small restaurant in the heart of Brussels city. Always very crowded, so it can take a while before you get a table. But no worries, there’s Saison Dupont on tap. Friendly service. Food is really nice. Had the rabbit with geuze-sauce and ’stoemp’, but their carbonade is really nice as well. Highly recommended!!!!TO EVERYONE VISITING BRUSSELS, give me a heads up, I’d love to trade/share some bottles!

They don’t have much on tap and their bottle list isn’t extremelly large, but it has a lot of different, special, some even rare, beers on it! Their food is very good as well: Belgian cuisine, some dishes prepared with beer. What makes this place so special is the combination of the beer and the food and the excellent service. They know everyting about their beers (and food) and make great food - beer pairings (and take your personal taste into consideration as well). We were amazed and had a great time. Like mentioned in other reviews, there can be a line, so come early ... altough waiting at the bar isn’t a bad, with a great pre-dinner beer being selected for you.

Think we stroke a bot of bad luck with this restaurant. Firstly, the 2 first days we vent here to have dinner there was long line of people waiting to get in, so we had to go elsewhere. Mind, that they dont take reservations. 3rd day we vent early, around 18,30 and we where the first and only customers in the restaurant while we had our dinner. The place is small, around 10 2 man tables, but the menu is quite nice with some good options of food made with beers. Unfortunately the food wasnt that good, my rabit back was dry, half cold and little like it had been warmed from an earlier cooking, patatoes was semi cold. My wifes steak was overcook, etc. Well onto the beers, 4 taps, including Cantillon Lambic, long bottle list with some nice beers, again including some nice and semi rare sours. Service was good, good knowledge of beers, and some nice surgestions to what to pair with the food. Value on beers was good, no so on the food we got. We left somehow disappointed, even though the beers and the service made the visit allright. Strangely enough i have 2 friends having dinner here on 2 different occasions within the last 14 days before our visit, both saying it was fantastic. Bad luck, but will give it another chance if back in Brussel again some day.

Located in the busy Lombardstraat, this restaurant is a living proof of the fact that size doesn’t matter. It is tiny (less than 10 tables) but it is excellent, with regard to food and beer alike. The selection may be lower than in a number of other places in the city but it includes some superior lambics and many more great Belgian beers. The staff are very friendly and they know a lot about beer. Fair prices. I will gladly come back again.
