A cosy, but also rather quiet place, family run to the degree where Herr Enders greets you atthe reception, serves your beer all evening (if you just knock on the door to the private room), and serves breakfastthe next day. The zoigl is one of the best

Cozy gasthaus with a bad ass zoigl. Old couple runs the place. Very friendly. 69 Euro for a Doppelzimmer and 1.70 for a Fresh Zoigl. Yes!!!

Having visited two other places selling Zoiglbier in the village this was a bit dissappointing but I suspect because it was very quiet and compared to the others there was no atmosphere. Nevertheless like the others the bier is individual to the brewer there so a should go to taste his version. BTW 20-30 minute walk from the station.

a hotel in the heart of Windischeschenbach with small rooms and a stube downstairs pouring Zoiglbier. some times closed for a week or two for staff vacation (mostly in winter).

Hotel and restaurant in the very centre of Windischeschenbach. Not a lot of people in the Zoiglstube but Herr Endred and a man from Cuxhaven proved very good company. From the three Zoigls I have tried I liked this one best - delicious with a powerful character. I will definitely retrun and stay the night there.

Somewhat bigger hotel in the centre of Windischeschenbach. Restaurant is quite traditional, food is good and good value. Have their own Zoigl and a beergarden.

Stayed the night here as a base for zoigling. Lovely folks, English spoken, good value basic-but-nice rooms. Definitely recommended as a base. Figured I’d make this the last stop on my zoigl tour and in stark contrast to the other two places the bar was almost empty. The only folks there were having a conversation in English though it was clearly not the first language for any of them. Turns out it was the barman and some Russians who decided to stop in Windischeschenbach on their way through to the south of France (??!!). Anyway I spent the rest of the night chatting with those guys and drinking some seriously good zoigl. It was probably the best I came across on the day, only none of the locals seemed interested in touching it. I can see the appeal of the rotating places though, maybe this gets packed on the nights they’re all closed. Fairly typical country bar setup, nothing fancy, but nice folks and nice beer.

Used this hotel as my base in Windischeschenbach. My family and friends(with 3 fairly noisy children) were served extremely well by Herr Enders. Was very quiet until we got there and then we acted the part of noisy Americans. Very nice zoigl. Great place - and the rooms were very comfortable.

Visited in early september 2007. Friendly service, good typical German food and dead cheap. Good Zoigl available throughout the year. Old fashioned hotel and restaurant visited mainly by locals and some tourists.

One of the Windischechenbach Zoigl houses open and pouring all through the year, I think. The atmosphere was on the depressing side, unfortunately. However, the server was very friendly and spoke very good English so was able to give us the Zoigl calendar for the area.
