Outside looked like we were initially in the wrong place, like a building from the 1950s that you’d expect to be incredibly dusty and full of old former union dock workers who are clasping their 35 degree cold fizzy yellow beer.

Wrong. The inside is a nice (though low-light) establishment, with a nice long bar and a huge community table. We were seated there. Plenty of room, so we weren’t smashed up against each couple on either side of us. Service was quick, waiter was very nice. Beers were good, and food was quite excellent.

Cool corner spot in Brewer’s Hill. Nice looking bar and eating area. Good vibe. Bartenders are spectacular. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and attentive. Good selection of Stillwater beers plus imports and some good, similar American breweries. 20+ options on tap, more on a higher end bottle list. Food menu is short, but everything is good. Price can be a bit on the high side, but you are getting a quality product. Big bonus is the bottle shop upstairs which is a bit pricey, but stocks some great stuff.

Wow. This is a fantastic place. Had about 10 Stillwater beers. Absolutely fantastic. Wait staff was very knowledgeable. Didn’t have any food, though heard it was good. Great place. A bit loud, though.

The bar is laden with wood and a rather rustic feel throughout in a rather safe neighborhood with free parking. The service was excellent, we got there just as the bar opened on a Tuesday and it was empty. The selection was great, lots of Stillwater but a lot of guest taps as well. The food was okay and the value wasn’t the best, but this was a nice stop.

Brunch, noon, Sunday. Well, we arrived right around noon, and waited while the two bartenders kept their backs to us for about 10 mins, before we were ever greeted. I enjoyed my meal, and likewise the beer was great. As are most from Stillwater. It took three requests just to get glasses of water, and the other service in general was pretty slow. Would have liked dessert, but had a 2.5 hr trip home and couldn’t wait any longer. Perhaps they were just understaffed yesterday.

Stopped here for dinner on friday night Feb 15th (1st day of maxs belgian fest). Bar looked like nice size bar. Maybe 20+ seats? Not a lot of tables but I think they have a backroom and upstairs which I didnt see. Friendly server who was knowlegable about the beers. Close to twenty beers on tap. Food was solid... I had a burger. No complaints about the food or beer. Pretty cool place to have a brew just a little on the pricey side.

Stopped in just for the newly opened bottle shop upstairs. Every employee i ran into was very friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful, not necessarily what you’d expect from outside. I didn’t have anything to eat...but it looked good and prices seem fair for the fare. Bottle selection was small but obviously carefully curated. They also said they got wiped out by a wave of shoppers the night before and were busily restocking. Lots of nice little gems, beer, wine and spirits. Prices are a little high. Saw some Stillwater bottles for more $ than I see on other shop’s shelves. But I wasn’t looking for Stillwater stuff, I picked up some Evil Twin and Perfect Crime. Can’t wait to have a chance to go back and sit down, have some things off the taps and try the menu.

A really nicely warn place. Really like the upstairs space, though I only browsed the bottles to go. The food / menu was fairly eclectic, but matched the beer list quite well. The beer was quite food friendly, or at least potentially so if you know how to choose things. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of a really tasty sampling of what the menu had (all good: baked oysters, grilled cheese sandwich, fried catfish, deep fried chickpeas, charcuterie and cheese plate, and mussels in Saison). The service was more than solid; wasn’t pushy, or insecure, able to recognize a knowledgeable beer person, and just talk shop / make small suggestions here and there seamlessly, I would love to come back to here quite a bit more often, and will given the opportunity.

As a warning to frugal consumers, this is truly a no-expense-spared quality establishment, so if you’re concerned about money when you go out, go elsewhere. The decor is more akin to high end wine bars I’ve visited. Narrow, 2-floor space with minimalist, clean wood furnishings and exposed brick walls and overhead ductwork. Classic, painted ceiling tiles and overhead fans add an old-world Belgian bistro feel to the joint. The tap list is about half Stillwater offerings and the guest taps are very selective, rare and tasty. The bottles are equally selective and rare. I hadn’t tried anything that wasn’t excellent! There are no cheap spirits either. At the upstairs bar, Fernet Branca, Chartreuse and Schlenkerla Helles Schnapps are on tap!!! While we only ate off the late night menu, we looked at the other menu and I can say that the food we had was solid. Gastropub fare, mostly. Nothing that adventurous, but no typical pub grub either. Presentation was kind of boring and seeing a bottle of French’s Yellow Mustard and Heinze condiments kind of takes away fine dining cred. Service was friendly and staff members were passionate and knowledgable. It seems they all are working to create a pub that has everything they want to eat and drink without compromise. Even the glassware is step above most nice beer bars, with delicate, elegant stemware as the standard go-to for everything they pour. This might be my favorite new place to imbibe!

Sits on top of Brewer’s Hill (just use the Natty Boh face as a lighthouse). Definitely like the interior styling with a lot of dark wood and industrial accents. Taplist is around 20, but all are solid. Most are Brian’s own Stillwater offerings, which is never a bad thing. Guest beers are extremely well selected and are beers rarely found in the area. Bottle list offers up more rare offerings including hard to find Stillwater barrel-aged beers. The food when I visited was fantastic. Creative, artisanal selections with unique ingredients that are very delicious. From other recent reviews, it seems that the chef and menu have changed which is unfortunate. More expensive than other places, but worth the money.
