Before the opening of Ølbutikken there was 2-3 beer shops in Copenhagen who could each claim to be the best in terms of selection. Knowledge of the beers being sold was more so-so. But all this has changed with the launch of Ølbutikken. Finally Copenhagen has a beer shop run by true enthusiasts devoted to great beer in all its forms rather than just being enthusiasts within a limited area such as belgian ales. The shop is small but cosy. The selection has the stuff that they have to be able to offer (ie Chimay), but the real strenght lies in the selection of beers rarely seen in Denmark. Great range of lambics (Yummy!) and fine US micros. If this shop was a restaurant, I would bestove 3 Michelin stars upon it, meaning that it alone would be worth traveling a long way for.

Small cosy beershop with an high boutique like caracter and with an outstanding selection of beers. Jeppe and Michael are two great people with a big hart for beers. The selection is great and has it all. You have the feeling that you are in a (Bijouterie) packed with beer-jewels. The nice thing is that you find lots of rare and fine beers from micro-breweries. Belgian, American, British and great Danish beers. This is what Copenhagen needed. A Top Beershop in a city with a fantastic atmosphere. Beer is the BIG thing in Denmark and the public is ready for it. Olbutikken is the place 2 B.

One of the best additions to the local craft beer shop scene in recent years, Ølbutikken excels by stocking great beers from little known makers and a good selection of the usual must-haves such as the Westvleteren range. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the beer guys behind the shop even do their own mean IPA -- let’s get that on tap around town! The only downside to this cozy little shop is its limited business days & hours. Don’t miss the singular Pannepot -- they’re one of the only shops outside Belgium to carry this little gem.

I finally got my self to visit Bierkönig’s shop. It was about time, beccause i left the place with a burden of goodies. The selection is great, as is the service.

Thanx to Jeppe (bierkönig) for opening this small but outstanding beershop. Always something new on the shelfs and the prices are ok. Sometimes you even get to taste some rare beers ther, i.e. Sam Adams Utopia and Bass Kings Ale 1902.

Very nice small shop. A lot of beers which is impossible to get in Sweden. One the owners is a ratebeerian so the service couldn’t be much better. A must visit!

Nice small shop located close to the center of town. The owner knows alot about the beers there, and there are beers no one else have in Copenhagen. A must visit if your in town !!!

Nice little shop driven by great devotion and great knowledge by BierKönig and his friend. A great addition to the Copenhagen beer scene - I got a new place to look for the 40.000+ beers I haven’t had yet.

This is a good place. The two boys in the shop gives a good and relaxed service. They have a very large knowledge. Good thing for the beercomunity in copenhagen.
