The pubís worth a visit for itís age etc. 1 cask ale as per usual in Sam Smithís but not in very good order. Itís cheap and full of old blokes drinking Sam Smiths lager.

Sam Smithís pubs generally ooze a period style ambiance in their decor wherever you find them, however this one feels more apt than most for it. On the first floor of the Tudor style íRowsí which Chesterís commercial centre is famous for, this pub clearly attempts to enhance the experience with a medieval styling throughout. This is an interior pub as well so thereís no natural light in here which in part helps create the ambiance. In reality it feels a little forced with its decor but itís no less of a pub for it and itís a friendly enough place to sample Sam Smithís ales and lagers and thereís also plenty of their bottled brews on offer too, including the high volume Yorkshire Stingo at just under £10.
