Very well-run pub with welcoming interior and great beer garden at back. Perhaps 8 ales on tap, changing regularly, with focus on West Country. Never eaten there. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Jayne (3) , England | August 31, 2011| Updated May 14, 2012 arranged a holiday rental neraby to take advantge of this local ’spot’. Reminds me of what old pubs used to be like, great atmosphere with no TV or loud music. Always enough hand pulled beers to choose from and the food is first class!! | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 downender (227) Bristol, England | September 1, 2007| Updated February 13, 2010 Multi-award winning pub, which won the CAMRA National Pub of the year in February 2008. The Old Spot is well-placed for walkers on the Cotswold Way. Has a good selection of real ales including ones from Uley (Old Ric is brewed specially for this pub), Butcombe and Severn Vale and frequently changing guest beers. The food is very good value and the atmosphere friendly. A great place to visit. |
