The Brew Crew rules! Like Maharís...Oliverís makes living in Albany all the more bearable!
They have a great selection of micro-brews to choose from. The crew is friendly and always in a good mood. I usually hit them up on Fridayís straight from work because they sometimes have cases of bargain beers, dirt cheap.

How can you not LOVE Oliverís?! The staff is great, friendly, and [sometimes] knowledgeable. Their selection is the best in the area and among the best Iíve ever seen. The best part is that if you canít find a beer you want, they will order it for you Ė all you have to do is ask!

This place is excellent and itís a shame I didnít know about it when I lived in albany - Iím beating myself over the head , because itís better than anything I can get to now,for buying singles. Everything is available in singles and organized by state or country like a great beer library. The selection is downright wonderful, including some old stuff, and it seems ot be kept well. Lots of brewers represented, not a library of congress of beer but the best beverage store Iíve been to yet, and Iíve been to the best in philly, north delaware, and south jersey. The staff are indeed somewhat dumb kids, although the one girl who checked me out definitely respected what I was buying, and they were helpful while I was shopping. I even got a free glass thrown in for buying so much. I literally enjoyed the hell out of myself, my grirlfriend even let me go ahead and said nothing. In the end I bought 3 mixed sixes and two boxes full of bomber/750ís, and I could easily have doubled my purchase all with new beer I would be excited to try, save for luggage space in the car and finances. A definite must hit place if albany is anywhere near in your way, I regret not knowing about this
and mahars when I lived here for over 20 yrs. Stupendous and a place good enough that it will draw me to visit my parents in Albany whenevr the cellar gets a little thin.

Best place to get beer hands down. Has a great selection and the prices are pretty competitive. Itís like going to Mahars but not paying the mark up. There isnít much to the place, basically shelves with beer, but doesnít need much else.

Eye-opening selection of domestics and imports. Truly mind-boggling, compared to what we have in Vermont. For example, nice to find Sprecher and Lagunitas, many NY state micros, and also the full range from Weiherstephaner and other German brewers. John was helpful, and great to talk with. Super store.

Great place for bottle selection, rather hard to work with if you are looking for specialty kegs. Discounts on 6-packs are great, so are their end-of-season sales.

Un classique depuis 2-3 ans. Ma rťserve secrŤte de Firestone special release et de 3 Fontenein. Les prix sont raisonnables et la variťtť de biŤres internationales vaut le dťtour ŗ elle seule.

I canít believe it took me so long to find this place. So good, great selection, fantastic variety; pretty much a little beer paradise in the middle of Albany.

i have been meaning to put this review in here for a few weeks now. store was well laid out with most of the big players represented. found a few interesting imports and the staff was very helpful. the guy in the store would come by and grab what i had collected every so often so he could ring them up while i browsed for more. the owner came by and asked if i had found everything and said let him know if he could help with anything. walked out with over two cases of singles which the owner gave a nice percent discount on.

This is the best place in the Albany area to go beer hunting. Good selection of Belgians, lotsa micros and stuff from other countries as well. Limited glassware selection. They recently got a lot of new micros in, making the drive to Half Time Beverage seem like a waste of time. Pricing is reasonable. Staff is worthless. They have an idea on everything, but in the long run itís always wrong. No, you didnít have the new Avery Imperial Stout a year ago. Yes, Anchor did make a 2005 OSA, etc.
