Since joining RB, this is one of those Northeastern shops I have wanted to visit and when I finally got there I discovered it was worth the wait. Easy to get to off I-90 with a left-right-and left turn into an unintrusive building with a small parking lot. But on the inside it is like entering a beer warehouse. The shelves are ten feet high and spread over 3-4 rows and fairly well organized. There is a single row of refrigerated beers. Price listings for case, six/four-pack, and singles are available on all brews. Great selection of New York and other Northeastern brews. They also boast a decent selection of California beers and Belgians. Most of the imports are the typical ones but there are the occasional surprises. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. It is 3 1/2 hours one-way for me but it is a nice reward for the long drive.

A wharehouse with lots of beer. Nice selection of upstate beers and some random other countries which is what I picked up. Nothing super exciting at least when I was there but staff was friendly and certainly worth a stop if u need supplies in A town.

stopped here after a recamondation of a friend. Large store with an ample amount of beers. Imports, and a good slection of beer from surrounding states and California. No whales, but not that I was expecting any. I got a mixed 6 of IPA’s from some New England states I have limited availabilty too plus a chilled magnium of Ommegand Art of Darkness. Prices were some what reasonable, if not a bit high.

This place has an awesome selection, especially if you’re from out of town. My only concern is that it’s more of less a warehouse that is subject to outside temperatures, in other words, expect everything in the place to be subject to high temps during the summer. I went in July, so I’m imagining a lot of what I bought probably suffered a bit from storage.

Great place for bottle selection, rather hard to work with if you are looking for specialty kegs. Discounts on 6-packs are great, so are their end-of-season sales.

Similar to the Westmere store. Solid selection with good growler station. Staff was relatively helpful. Store has a warehouse feel. Prices are competitive.

I was passing through from lake placid. The employee’s there didn’t know anything about beer and were rude. The place was also dirty and expensive. The selection was pretty good, you can tell that someone there knows what they are doing. Too bad I didn’t talk to them, everyone i talked to (3 employees) were completely retarded. I couldn’t even get a recommendation for a local breweries beer. Perfect example of why selection isnt everything. Oh, they are on the expensive side too.

I travel to Albany fairly often on business. Usually, I don’t have much time to explore, but this trip I had a free evening to get out and headed over to Oliver’s. The space is somewhat cavernous with three long rows of beers well organized on shelves that go basically from floor to ceiling all the way down the aisle. The selection of local upstate beers is excellent as is the selection of beers from northern New England. They sell singles of everything, and each six-pack of singles gets a $3 discount. Prices were reasonable and service was very good. Overall, this place is definitely worth stopping by and I will make it a point to visit more frequently.

Stopped in on the way back from a weekend trip to Montreal. Didn’t really get a lot of time in the store since apparently they close at 5 on Sundays. Nice bottle selection, a good variety of stuff including a nice section of ciders. Worth stopping in.

Best place to get beer hands down. Has a great selection and the prices are pretty competitive. It’s like going to Mahars but not paying the mark up. There isn’t much to the place, basically shelves with beer, but doesn’t need much else.

I’ve been in the Albany area many times but it took awhile for me to visit this place. I’m glad I finally did. The place is somewhat large, inside is nothing flashy but big rows of beer and beverages. Their beer selection is good, better than I expected. Singles available for anything you want. Prices are reasonable with a $3 discount per mixed six pack. I picked up a mixed sixer, a couple of Captain Lawrence Reserve IPA’s (pleasantly surprised to find these!) and some Goose Island stuff. Next time I’m in the area I’ll make sure I go back.
