An out of the way beer place, but probably the best one in Helsinki, maybe whole of Finland. Excellent selection, rotating taps, knowledgeable and friendly bartenders that’ll go out of their way to oblige you, if you just ask them. Will talk shop if not too busy. Value is good for a Helsinki-situated place. Ambiance is a bit lacking though. It’s a bit of a dank area, the place itself is small, filled to the brim and loud. At least on a Friday evening. Probably better during the day.

Out of the way in Helsinki, hidden in a residential area, lies this treasure chest of whiskeys... and beers. Walls lined with so many vintages (I believe the number was at least 500 in the bar with a few hundred more in storage?). Beer selection was great, best selection of Stone I’ve found in the Nordic countries by far. Was lucky enough to score the Cantillon brewed especially for the location. Each visit I’ve made was met with excellent service. World class.

This place was brilliant. Thank goodness for RateBeer reviewers or I would have thought I was in the wrong place when I got off the metro! It really is next door to the supermarket, in a housing estate. Had a great selection of beer and scotch, service was knowledgeable. Wish I could have made a repeat visit!

Neat spot, helsinki kind of sucked; this was the highlight. Wasn’t hard to get to, not far out of the city and a quick ride on the metro. Unassuming decor, sat outside with a few patio tables and furniture. The staff helped Kevin a lot, I sat and waited. Good selection much of which is made exclusively for this spot. If you are in Helsinki, try to leave asap but stop here while stuck.

Take the metro to the last stop, walk through suburban apartment blocks for 30 seconds, and your there. It’s very easy actually, 20 minutes from city center, hardest part for us was getting a metro ticket. Kind of looks like a 7-11 from the outside. Sterile environment in and out, patio furniture feel, but somehow works well, the feel is just right. Staff and locals know great beer, speak great English. Staff was really awesome in fact, recommendations galore, opened up bottles for us not on the menu, shared ideas about beer. THE SPOT to go to in Helsinki, not even close, and selection is almost exclusively for this place, so you’ll find it nowhere else.

must stop in helsinki> a bit hard to find but really close to a tram stop> Great selection of bottles & draft. Grassroots, lots of innish stuff I’ve never heard of but that was really good. Was able to score their house Cantillion bottle. Service was ok in the beginning but once we got talking about the business he was great> friendly atmosphere, tons of Scotch if youre also into that

An exellent selection of beers all around the world on bottle and a nice row of taps that change with a good rate. Lots of beer themed weeks all year round. The surroundings of the pub are not that nice but the ambiance inside is nice. The staff is very friendly with even random acts of humour served if you’re lucky.

In the suburbs, with apartment buildings all around, that’s where one of Helsinkis best pubs is located. Great service, great tap’s and their own Cantillon. This is a “must visit” when in Helsinki. Although it’s quite a bit from the city centre, you get there pretty quick if you take the metro.

Got some help to know what metro stop to get off and in what general direction to move, got there fairly easy. Visited end of July 2011. Doesn’t feel like a general type area for this type of pub, but that almost makesw it even better. They had 2 bottles of one special Cantillon left, so we got that one. Also had Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek on tap, as well as two hoppy RIS. Very nice place with great service, also mainly friendly patrons. I’ll go back for sure!

Returned end of June 2012, didn’t have the special Cantillon any longer, but a very nice selection of beers on draught. We were a small group but managed to find seating inside the back room. Nice fast informative service and also got samples of beers without asking for it, just for asking what kind it was. Glad I took the time out of my other than beer schedule on this trip to go back, will try and do the same next time!

Easy to reach place, a few steps from the Puotila (Botby gård) metro station, but looks very out of place in a small shopping center in a housing development. Good range of local beers. Very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff, and the locals were the friendliest we encountered in Helsinki. Definitely worth going out of your way to try this place.
