The place to visit if you’re in Helsinki. Near the Puotila Metro Station in the eastern part of the city. The surroundings and the place may seem somewhat worn down but the staff and the selection of beers (and Whiskies) are top notch. Lots of rarities with always something new to sample. The place is quite small and get crowded in the evenings (especially on the weekends). Theme weeks all year round.

The place to visit if you are after rarities. The selection varies but is mainly based on their own import which usually consists of beers that are hard to find anywhere. Prices of bottles can be sometimes quite high.

Fantastic bar only 2 min walk, south of Puotila Metro Station. It takes about 15 min to get there, with the Metro from the Central Station in Helsinki.
The owners are very friendly and their selection of beers and whiskey is huge.
They got 16 taps with beers from Finnish micros, especially Koskipanimo (Plevnan), and at lot of bottles from Danish, American, Norwegian, Belgian and etc. breweries.
If you’re out searching rarities this is where you wanna go! They even had a bottle of Cantillon Blåbær Lambik in the back of there fridge, and i believe the Plevnan Siperia is on tap at all times.
I went on a 3 day weekend trip to Helsinki, and ended up here every day. Despite that, it was possible to try a lot of new and rare beers every day.
Don’t miss the opportunity if you’re in Helsinki!

It really deserves a visit , I’d say more than one visit... few meters from the metro station. Wonderful selection of microbreweries, finnish and foreign. Maybe foreign bottles too expensive but I’m getting used to finnish prices! Friendly staff but I’d say "tasteless" place, anything more than beers.

The place is situated in a small shoppingcenter. Short walk from metro station. Friendly and skilledpersonnel. Good spectrum of local and foreign beers. Special weeks during the year. You can allways find something special from the fridge.

A bit off the beaten track but well worth the detour. An excellent selection of beers in many styles but mainly from Nordic countries and some from the USA. They regularly host themed festivals with beers from specific countries. The service is excellent and friendly and the staff are very knowledgeable. If only I lived next door!

Incredible selection of whiskies as well as beers. Good tenders. Great music! (no music :)
Too far from home.
surroundings of the place is below grading.
Disgusting people spoiling the atmospehe of a great place. one drunk spitting on the floor, other asking for vodka with water...

Far away from civilization, but well worth the trip. The place is cold and static, actually the atmosphere is almost scary. But the staff is always extremely friendly and they always know what to recommend. Sometimes the service is slow, since they are sure to treat every customer as a good, but it’s worth it. Selection varies, but if you’re just trying to spot new beers, especially nordic or belgian ones, go there first. Also, some 100-200 single malts are available at affordable price. The pizzeria around the corner is the worst one in Helsinki.

Possibly the best bottled beer selection in the country. Excellent frequent festivals covering all different themes (This year there’s been US, Sweden, Lambic, and Plevna.) Just occasionally the staff are slow, but in my visits in early 2011 I’ve not felt unnecessarily delayed. Very hard to leave - I always just want 3 more, and then miss the metro home. Fortunately a bus leaves from just outside. Not quite the same since Marjut left.

A fascinating place, well worth the trek out from the town centre, although I did wonder what I was letting myself in for when I first saw the place. Excellent selection of beers, both draught and bottled, in cosy and friendly surroundings. Everybody there seemed to be there for the beer, even though there was an extensive range of whisky as well. Every neighbourhood should have a bar like this.
