This place is just a few minutesí drive south of Fair State. Not quite as big as Cork n Barrel, but still has quite a good selection. There is a sort of mix your own six section, but beers are individually priced - still itís great to see so many singles. A number of local and regional breweries are represented, itís organized by brewery, and prices are decent. Worth a stop.

Have visited a few times now over the last couple of years. Very nice selection overall, has virtually every 12oz. bottle they carry broken out in their mix-a-six cooler. Great selection of single bottles, also, and prices are definitely fair. Never a problem finding a place to park right out front. Has a beer cave with a lot of the more well-known micros and, of course, domestics in there. Very convenient for those of us that just hit Lawrence and then hang out downtown -- this is right on the way, coming or going. Service seems to be pretty non-existent, but what else is new? Iím a self-sufficient customer for the most part anyway. Consider me a fan. I just wish I lived closer.

Next to Cork and Barrel south, this is the best place to find beer in Lawrence. A good selection of beers, local, national, and international for a reasonable price.

A good selection for the area, including both local and non-Midwestern brews. They also have a great selection for mixed six-packs. My only complaint would be that some of their beers are left on the shelf for too long. On the other hand, the staff is very friendly and when they didnít have a seasonal beer I was looking for they took my name and number and called me a few weeks later when some more bottles came in.

This and the Cork n Barrel on 23rd are the 2 best stores in town. New store so its clean. Lots of singles, some lambics not available in the other stores. Once in a while the break up the mix packs of Saranac or Sam Adams and you can get those as singles, which almost no one else does.

New as of 12/09. In the top two if not the best beer selection in Lawrence. Good range of American and European beers. Massive selection of singles that are cold as well as a couple of coolers of bombers. I spoke with a guy there, who might not have been that knowledgeable about beer but was very enthusiastic. Cute college girls behind the counter to boot!

Recently opened, so inside decor was not quite finished at the time of this rating. Great beer selection with a BYOSP option. Iíve found many beers at OtR that I had looked for at other shops in Lawrence without success - including the Ayinger Celebrator and several varieties of Eisbocks. Staff is very friendly and willing to discuss products.
