Average in every way except their beer selection. While definitely carrying a few duds you can always be sure to find more than one gem of a beer in this bar.

My old local pub. A huge selection of macro lagers, and a few taps of local micros. Nice place to play pool, but not a great beer pub.

Catch it on a quiet day and it’s not too bad, but come, Thursday through Sunday, nights, it transforms into a poser bar popular with the younger trendies. Good selection of bottled beers, a little pricey, but it doesn’t have much of a beer friendly atmosphere. Quite a loud ’bump and grind’ place normally.

I've only been there cos my son's band plays there occasionally. Pleasant enough but not really a serious beer place. A bit too noisy for old codgers like me.
