Since I was staying at the hotel I figured that I would check this place out on one of the more quiet evenings. A typical hotel bar, the selection contains one or two locals but nothing spectacular. Prices were what you might expect for an upscale bar.
The main reason to come here would be if you had a bigger party and it was later at night. Even then I might walk next door to Millerís Pub. While I did not get a chance to try it this trip the tap list looked to contain a better representation of the local scene without traveling too far.

I stumbled upon this bar while looking for a place to grab a craft beer in the Loop before catching a play at the Bank of America Theater. The bar and lobby are very swanky feeling and it is a beautiful, historic room. The place was very busy on the weeknight we went. They had about 6 taps with one Half Acre and one Boulevard beer on tap. They also had a cooler with some bottles of local and regional craft beers. The prices were fair given the location. There is not a lot of options for craft beer drinkers in the immediate area within the loop, and this is a nice stop if youíre heading to the theatre.
