Went in September 2014. Not very busy at all when we went, easy to get a table. Good beer and a good place to come through if you want a casual night of drinking or before you head out for a night. Recommended visiting if you get a chance, but if it’s very far away don’t worry too much about it. Really wonderful bottle selection and the staff was so helpful and knew a lot about the beers. Overall I recommend the place for a good relaxed beer drinking experience.
I tried their old ale alongside a Founders Old Curmudgeon and came away impressed. I just wish that the pizza was as good, but it wasn’t. Even though I enjoy dive bars, the interior was a bit too dark for my taste.
Went here on a friday night - it was pretty poppin’. The ambiance was very cool, lots of room and a friendly brewpub atmosphere. The service was very good, and quick. The selection was top-notch, both in taps & bottles. The value was decent, bottles in particular are affordable. I really enjoyed this place, and am definitely going back.
Much more of a bar than a brewpub (only 2 "house beers" on tap). No brewing equipment on site. Very large space. Service was decent but uninvolved. Parking was easy. Food was pub grub and decent. To-go bottle selection was good as was the tap list.

Great bottle selection, and the best tap selection in AZ usually.
A dive bar without the cool character. Big tap list with lots of bottles. Good service and we didn’t eat. For me the problem is the dark dive like ambiance. There are too many good places in the area now,
Stopped in here after O.H.S.O. since they were so close together, I have had a few Papago beers before, I was really looking forward to checking them out. Atmosphere is kind of disjoined but still good. You have the front seating area, the bottle shop to the left, another dining area in a different room off to the left and then the bar area in the rear of the space. More and more people came in as my visit wore on, making it feel more together. Service was solid. I never had to wait for a beer and he was awesome to tall to. Selection was great. Five of their own beers on with a great verity of others crossing lots of different styles. As I had just eaten I skipped the food but the pizza looked great sitting a few people away from me. Prices were pretty good, some of the bottles to go were a little high but if I strike out in the next few weeks I may return to pick some up. Overall a really nice bar/brewery that I would definitely return to in the future, maybe even the near future.
We visited this brewpub the first time on 27.12.2013. Large room with a nice and unique table arrangement, one very long table separating the room in two halves. Nice interior, many metal signs from local and international breweries. They have around 30 beers on tap, whereof 5 are from their own brewery (beers are contract brewed by Huss brewing, hence not a real brewpub). We had the IPA, a vanilla orange Weissbier, two stouts and a Belgium style beer (this one we liked most). Their own beers were all above average. Great selection of draft guest beers - Ska Brewing, Green Flash, Bear Republic and many more. In addition they have quite a few refrigerators filled with great mainly regional bottles. Food was also good, we had a Pizza and a pita wrap. Service very friendly and attentive. We met many nice local people during the 4 evenings we visited the Pub. Overall a really good beer experience, we will definitely come back.
Great spot in S. Scottsdale. Everyone is friendly and generally knowledgeable. Food is decent, though not outstanding. Selection is above average - you can usually find something lurking in the cooler that you haven’t seen in awhile. Prices are good on most items, especially if you’re staying onsite. Love than I could drink an Expedition Stout on premise for under $5.
This was my favorite place to get good beer when I lived in PHX in ’09. Glad to see it’s still a good place to get good brews.
