Great selection but not really a great place to hang out. Itís more like a beer store with some tables and a bar. Location in a strip mall attracts small, locals only crowd, with few women.

Visited 3/4/2011 for Ratebeer Winter Gathering.

Located in a strip mall, I was greeted by a bouncer checking IDís. Inside there arenít a whole lot of seats but it wasnít a problem. Along the one wall is a row of fridges full of beer. Nice selection of things from all over. But Iíd say I was more impressed with the tap lineup. There were at least half a dozen Papago beers on tap (contracted by other breweries) as well as some oddball beers that I really wanted to try (namely the one year lambic from Bockor) but were out of. I guess the night before was Moylans night so they had some left overs on tap from that.

The server came by pretty often (every 15 minutes or so) and asked if we wanted anything else. The owner of the place came by and talked with us for a little bit. Great service all around.

For all the beer I had I didnt really pay that much. Good times. Iíll be returning the next time Iím in the area.

Would have liked to see more Papago beers available, but the that were on tap were quite good. Above average draft list. Add to that the fairly large selection of bottles on hand and this place is a winner. Good food, TVs to catch a game, board and trivia games on hand. Good amount of seating space but fairly short bar. 1 downside: you are subjected to whatever music other patrons play on the jukebox...

Beer joint located in a strip mall. Not so much of a brew pub; only had 2 of their own beers on tap when we visited. Good section on tap and lots of bottles in coolers for you to choose from. A little surprised there wasnít more local stuff. Pizza was great - Beer BQ pizza is all good. Place had a cool divey bar vibe and lots of TVs for watching games. Cool place - you should go.

Beer nerd decorated man cave inside a strip mall complete with an impressive refrigerated bottle selection and hefty tap list featuring a small number of their house beers, perhaps 4 of 32 were from Papago. Bottles in the fridge can be for on-premise consumption or can be to-go, which is pretty sweet. Service was a bit slow, but we came around noon and there was only one person on staff for about 15 people. She was friendly but a bit overwhelmed having mixed up our drink order slightly. Food was pretty decent. Artichoke crab dip was great, chips were not homemade unfortunately. Thai chicken pizza was delicious. We thought two of us could split a large and we were wrong. Had leftovers and they gladly boxed the rest to go. I was disappointed by the lack of house beers since I had tried 2 of the 4 offered already at other beer bars in town. Their house beer made by Van Steenberge was disappointing. Overall a fun, informal place.

Stopped in for lunch and brews. Unassuming place located in a strip mall, inside has a decent sized seating area, bar area and loads of coolers full of beer. Great service from the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Huge selection of draft beer with some Papago offerings and a huge bottle assortment in the coolers. Food was above par for most brewpubs. Value was great on most draft beers, some bottles were over prices compared to local bottle shops. This place is a must stop, we ate, drank some amazing beers and took some to go.

This is a surprising place to find in a strip mall. There is an incredible bottle selection to drink there or to carry out, and a long tap list that has their beers (all that I had were solid beers) and a great selection of other brewers. I didníteat there but they say the pizza is really good. The service was a little slow but not worse than you would expect from a busy friday night. A must stop.

This place is one of my favorite places in the Valley to get a beer. They have an INCREDIBLE selection, and are always tapping something new. Walked in last week and they had 120 on tap. Every time I go they have new beers available. The food is pretty great, too. Order a pizza. You wonít be sorry! Oh, and they have a cooler stocked full of bottles that are not outrageously priced. The staff is great, knows beer, and is eager to serve you a pint of your favorite craft beer. They have a monk club that is pretty good, too offering a bigger pour and happy hour prices all the time. GREAT place to have a pint.

30 drafts with really good stuff but I prefer OHSO to tick... ambiance isnít great, in a strip mall, places seems old, run down and dirty, lacks character... service was nice but unattentive... 5 in house brewers, all were good, really great guests, old dipsea, abyss, monks cafe on draft, a couple hundred bottles for sale to go. Only did tasters of Papagot beers, prices a hit high for Phoenix... food was standard bar fare... Good bordering great place but with the drive no need to come from Phoenix to head here when you can get a lot of their beers around town

Visited here in Sep í09 on a Saturday evening between 8 and 10pm. I was surprised how quiet it was for a Saturday night with perhaps half a dozen or so others in the bar. Most of the trade seemed to be coming from folks popping in to buy bottles to take home. Service was great - but they were far from stretched. Bar man was interested to have a UK visitor and we chatted a bit and he poured me a few Papago samplers as well as the ones I purchased. 30 or so taps and a good few hundred bottles in the fridges opposite the bar. We eat some bar snacks, nacho, wings type stuff and they were fine. Decent joint and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
