This place is under-rated on here. When I was there, they had 13 taps of interesting local stuff (as well as some more generic taps... you know.. Pilsner Urquell, Anchor Steam, etc.). Also some really nice Schwarma stuff on the food menu. And it’s criminally cheap. As the bartender pointed out to me, you could get a hearty meal and a craft beer for under $10. Bartender was good to chat with. Probably my favorite place that I’ve been to in Detroit so far. Very under-apreciated and worth a stop.

Nice bar right next to the newly renovated Cliff Bells bar, doesn’t even have a sign out front. but the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, a bit of a trendy hipster element but the draft selection makes that easy to forgive. largest single selection of detroit beers on draft i’ve ever seen outside of the breweries themselves, with Motor City and i believe Atwater brews as well. other michigan micros; bell’s seasonals and other rotating taps. the food is in the same building but sort of "next door" and it features romanian-style shawarma and sandwiches which are very tasty. a great hangout before or after a tigers/lions game.
