66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 PeterA (15) , Slovak Republic | October 10, 2010 A brand new brewpub in Bratislava, if I read correctly, it’s been open for about a week. The menu only shows one beer brewed on premises, Patron Svetly 11.5. They’ve got four taps, one is for the local version of coke, the other for a non-alcoholic beer. That leaves a free tap for something. The food was typical Slovak fare, so it’s heavy. I thought it was well prepared. They have a childrens’ menu with spaghetti, chicken, and something else.
It has well separated smoking and non-smoking areas and an outdoor terrace overlooking their own playground.
Overall, I was pleased but would be happier if they had another beer brewed on premises available. Hopefully, one is coming. I’ll be back to check. | 62 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 9/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 heavy (61) Split, Croatia | October 21, 2012 Rather new brewpub far from Bratislava center. Nice, clean brewpub decoration. Three beers at the time, two regulars and a season, all very good, especially Tmavy which is one of the best Schwarzbiers I’ve ever had! Food was also very good, prices are reasonable for city. Toilet decoration is another story, all in copper, great ideas out there. Well worth visiting, although not near city center. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 steamfreak (54) , England | October 11, 2012 Superb place. By public transport trolley buses 204 and 207 go there. The svetle and tmavy were lovely especially the latter. I had the special which wasn’t to my tast.An english menu is avaiable if you ask. The food was excellent. Highly recommended! | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 12/20 Christian (197) Odense, Denmark | August 12, 2012 RBESG 2012 - day 2. A big place by the highway, looking much like a regular highway diner, but with own brewed beer. Once you’re inside, there are big windows to the brewery - and if you’re in Bratislava at all, you must visit and experience the beautiful copper toilets! | 68 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 Dedollewaitor (274) Odense, Denmark | August 7, 2012 3 beers. Svetle, Tmavy and Rauch. Fast service. English were spoken. Beers in good condition as well as food. Like a highway diner feel. Enjoyable. | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Borresteijn (141) Amsterdam, Netherlands | July 31, 2012 Visited during RBESG’12. Large brewpub/restaurant along the highway, with quite a large patio outside. 4 beers on tap. Interior is classy, sturdy, dark brown and green coloured. I had a serious hangover, so the fumes from the kitchen were not very appealing to me, but both the food and beers were quite nice, especially the Tmave. Service was good, prices fine. Recommended for e.g. lunch with a good beer. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 erickok (87) Tours, France | July 23, 2012 Roomy brewpub that looks nice. We had their light, dark and rauch beers and I liked each of them. Food was pretty taste is reasonably priced as well. A shame the brewer didn’t want to meet us for a short tour. Still enjoyed my stay here. Ah yes, and don’t forget to visit the toilet. :) | 68 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 Marko (188) Split, Croatia | July 20, 2012 A cool brewpub in the suburbs, reachable by trolleybus I guess. A new place, wood & copper I guess, a lot of people eating in, not surprised as the prices seem to be ok and the brewer’s goulash is nice. Heavy claimed his švičkova was brilliant so issue with eating here. They had the regular light & the dark with the special smoked beer, all quite good beers. Good, polite service. And yeah... the toilets :)... Worth visiting. | 52 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 10/20 ogivlado (270) Zagreb, Croatia | May 15, 2012 Not so close to city center but it’s reachable by public transport. Two house beers plus one special (Polotmavy Špecial 13) at the time. There’s also small childrens playground right next to patio. Now the service...- There were two waitresses for entire patio (about 20 tables), first one was doing everything and second one managed to show up twice within hour and half. Usual food, interesting and funny men toilet. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 YULbier (250) Montreal, | November 4, 2011 50 minutes walk from the old town. 2 excellent in-house made beers on the day of my visits. Superb svetle and tmave that has nothing to envy to czech pivo, appart the price that is slightly higher. Nice terrasse, free unlocked wifi, beautiful waitresses : makes you want to linger for a longer time that usual... | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Cuso (94) Bratislava, Slovak Republic | September 13, 2011| Updated October 22, 2012 Beer pub out of center.
