I came here early in the evening on some late August day. To me the place looked more like a restaurant than a bar. I was the first customer of the evening so I got a prety quick service (the first female Waitresses I encountered in Köln!). I had a Münchner and then a Salvator which was really good. The Salvator was so good I don’t even regret having another glass even though it made walking to the train station a lot more complicated. Nothing great about this place, but nothing wrong either and it’s still nice to have a good Doppelbock in Köln.

Typische Touristenkneipe mit schlechtem Essen und ein paar Paulaner Bieren neben Reissdorf. Lohnt nicht. Fast jede Kölsch Kneipe hat mehr zu bieten!

Paulaner tap. 4,5 Paulaner beers. Quite touristy. Something you will easy pass by and never think of again!

Not a bad looking pub but very near a busy traffic artery by the river. Patio was nonetheless enjoyable. Is beer selection ever that good in beer halls? Less than attentive service. Possibly the best pint of Doppelbock I’ve enjoyed in my life - the Paulaner on tap is rich, deep, fruity, spicy, complex, estery, wonderful. The veal carpaccio was 18 dollars and consisted of very little actual food, for which they did not indulge my concerns as to value and/or sustenance. Still a memorable beer which they could not ruin for me, most welcome change after trying so much mediocre Koelsch.

Decent pub if you want a change form all the Kolsch bars - located right along the Rhine river, and just down from the chocolate museum. Inside it’s tradition German decor, though all polished and new looking. They offer a few choices from Paulaner, but nothing especially rare. Enjoyed the Hefeweizen, Muchner and a pretzel on my visit. Was nice to find weiss in Koln after so much Kolsch.

Located acorss the street from the Rhein. Sitting outside is nice, but there’s a lot of traffic nearby. Small Paulaner selection. Typical German fare.
