Went here for dinner one night, there was a wait so we bellied up to the bar. Got really good service at the bar. Selection of beers on tap was really great, a lot were average but there was also some standouts like Breakfast Stout. Pizza was really good, awesome crust. Prices seemed really good too. This is a cool place to hang out, watch some sports, eat some pizza and drink some beer.

Pizza and beer joint right by UK. Their draft selection is extensive, but lacks any special flair. Staff was inattentive and standoffish. Place was dim and unclean, and there was no soap or paper towels in the bathroom (and the staff didn’t seem to care when I brought it to their attention. Pizza was good though, and prices were decent. That being said, it’s forgettable. And no wireless internet.

Visited on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Not a big lunch crowd, school was out for the summer. The pizza was awesome, brought some home even. The beer selection was even better. We tried the Three Floyds and Dogfish Head beers that aren’t available in St. Louis. Very good choices either on tap or bottles. Well worth the trip and would visit again when we return.

Pazzo’s is an interesting place. They almost get the beer-bar thing but not to a full on geek level. The selection rotates and has some great stuff from Three Floyds, Southern Tier, West Sixth and many more. Downstairs is a dedicated Belgian bar. They take pride in getting different beers in there but then do things like describe Alpha King as an amber. Not a complaint, they still love spreading the joy of good beer, just doesn’t reek of the sophistication the the Beer Trappe down the street does. Good beer is cheap in Lexington and Pazzo’s is right in line. Growlers are available as well and the pizza isn’t half bad. Cool stop.

Went on a Friday night and the place was busy, but still enough parking in the back and some seating still available. Beer menu selection was good, great prices, and great service. Not sure if they have any other glassware other than shaker, but there is always a minor detail. This place is great and will hopefully be going back.

I fell in love with this place when I went to college at the University of Kentucky. The food is incredible and the beer selection is always fantastic. I have some incredible memories sitting outside on their pation drinking an ice cold beer on a hot summer afternoon. This is a great place to go to get a nice taste of the college life.

If you’re not a part of the college crowd this place might not have the ideal ambience. Nonetheless, this is a nice place to relax and drink some great pints. They have a sizable draft list featuring many American crafts. Enjoyed an Alpha King, Pumking, and Breakfast Stout. Service was very slow and inattentive so be prepared to wait. The pizzas and pretzel appetizer were pretty tasty and prices are reasonable. Overall, a good spot for beer lovers.

Good selection for Lexington. Not a ton of variety, but Stone and Dogfish Head on tap. I wish Alpha King would be on tap all the time. Need to mix it up more.

(Visited 09/2010): Stopped in Lexington on a drive from Columbus to Nashville, and Pazzo’s was the choice for lunch. It is located right near the UK campus on Limestone and Winslow. Metered street parking is pretty abundant in the area. Pazzo’s is multi-level and has an upstair patio and bars on both floors. As expected there is a lot of UK paraphernalia and TVs, plus a good collection of tap handles. The bar boasts 40+ taps including Great Lakes, Founders, Rogue, Kentucky Brewing, Goose Island, Schlafly, Stone, Three Floyds, Leffe, Bell’s and more. As for bottles there are over 100 organized by country on the menu. Domestic brewers include Avery, Dogfish Head, Stone, Rogue, Ommegang and many more. Many countries are represented such as Africa, Argentina, Brazil (etc) with several from Belgium such as Kasteel and Westmalle. Pazzo’s is known for their pizza and that is what we ordered. The BBQ chicken pizza was very good, and we took the leftovers with us to eat later. Overall this place is a great stop for anyone in the UK vicinity.

lot’s of drafts. plenty of room. caters to various crowds: college, snobs, intellectuals, jocks... Great place though it tends to smell of bleach sometimes.
