Apex is walkable and Peak City is an anchor of activity. Good place to socialize, but not the kind of place that makes me want to go there for just the food and beer. The chef has a great rep, but I have found service and food to be uneven at times. Will go back soon to check them out again.

A very nice restaurant. We swung by randomly looking for a place to have dinner early on a saturday night and I remembered seeing it while we went to DMV to get licences & cars registered. Very nice interior, classic modern look I guess I would call it. First floor a bar with seating for 20 or so and tables on other side divided by a short wall plus a private room for like 16 people. Upstairs has a mezzanine area and private back room for up to 40 or so people. If you sit upstairs you can get a great view of the 1st floor & look right into the kitchen. We got the Asparagras wrapped in prosutto (sp) with some melted provolone and a dabble of holidaise. My wife got the Filet Mignon & I got the Cornmeal coated catfish with grit cake with a dabble of jambulia. What I wasnít expecting was the beer. Not huge, but nice. On tap were Youngs double choc stout, DFH Indian Brown & Punkin, Avery IPA & White Rascal, Highland Gaelic & Oatmeal Porter, wexford Irish creme ale, Brooklyn Pils, Magig Hat #9, Stella Artois and a Peak City beer, which was made by Carolina brewing ( Iím assumng a rebadge of the pale ale didnít try or ask though). She got a chocolate desert which was described as being like a brulee, but seemed more mousse like. I got the classic cheesecake. Everything was real good. Service was very good too. All told was $75. Well worth it.
