Nice, heavily wooden and perfectly clean brewpub in an ideal location along the water. Sadly, we were there at night beneath an overcast sky and drizzling rain. Numerous Belgian style beers on tap, although nothing that really set my heart aflame. Great to try the Tsunami Stout and IPA on tap, and the other seasonals were pretty solid. I’ll look forward to going back in better weather.
I had to boost the overall rating of this place simply because of their location. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner right on the pacific ocean with an incredible beach. Beer available on tap or in bottles and a great selection of reasonably price memorabilia. I was pleasantly surprised by their Saison which was good. the IPA and Tsunami were fantastic. I wish I could go back every summer.
Visited on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Thereís nothing like a nice India Pelican Ale to go along with a nice breakfast burrito, which was what I had. Very tasty. The service there was outstanding, as the hostess was extremely cheerful and prompt. Our waitress was extremely nice as well, and very good with the service. The place is very cool looking, with it being right on the beach. This is one of the best brewpubs I have ever been to.
Wow, what a location right on the beach down to the pacific, with the big wawes crashing on the beach while you sit on the porch an enjoy a great beer (even in October), I would love this to be my regular pub. When we visited we had a very informative tour of the brewery, and in the restaurant the service was very friendly. On draft they had 3 new beer for me and 2 in bottles to take away - I think they had 7 beers on draft. I really want to go back, and hope to do in a different season, so I can try other of their seasonal beers.
Visited last year. Food was just great. Got a window view on the beach - saw a deer chasing tourists in the sand, or the other way round - or just scaring each other. You can buy many of their beers in bottles - only the IPA seems to be shipped out, so itís a great opportunity to take back the unobtainable.
A very nice place right on the Beach. Nice brews they also had a couple guest brews on. The food was good but not cheap.

Iím a bit partial to this place. I grew up coming to Pacific City and just love the dune and Haystack Rock, not to mention The Cape. I came here to spend my honeymoon and low and behold there was a brewpub here. It had been a few years since I had been here, so this was a pleasant surprise. I go back everytime I visit Oregon. The beers are outstanding everytime, I especially like their IPA. The food is very good, and I tried the Clam Chowder for the first time on my last visit. I understand why itís won awards. Good Stuff.
I live about 20 miles away from PPB located in Pacific City. As you can see from the picture, it is the best view of any pub and/or brewery I have ever seen. My wife and I have gone there several times. Now I must explain the ratings that I gave. The ambiance is great due to the family stle atmosphere and the blues music being played via intercom. The service every time we have gone really sucked which is odd. I think they were too busy at the time and not enough servers or overbooking them. The selection of food was on par with the pubs on the coast. The food was good but in my opinion very expensive and the portions didnít match the price. Now I gave it an overall 20 for one reason and one reason only...the brews. They have some of the best craft brews and seasonals on tap and in the bottle. Their Scottish Style Ale is great. Do not miss this if you are on the Coast...It is a MUST stop.
Visited the amazing Pelican brewery for the second time this past week. Once again was I completely blown away by itís beauty. Located directly on the beach at Pacific City, right in front of Haystack Rock, you can sit down to enjoy damn near close to completely excellent food, while taking in numerous award winning Pelican beers. I was able to try the new "Brune" this time around, it definitely smelled like a familiar yeast strain (though they would not say what it was). Overall I am completely blown away by this place...being in the sun, drinking world class (mainly) American style beers...and OH YES, the Pelican IPA and Tsunami Stout...perfectly balanced brews. The one drawback - they just do not want to get any bigger, meaning, you can really only find their bottles in Oregon. Regardless, one of the best brewery experiences any of us beer geeks can ask for. Definitely worth the trip out to the coast!
Very nice place. Had the sampler which included some seasonals and totaled 8 samples. Awesome deal. I liked 6 of the 8 samples. The service was good and the food was above average pub fare. Perfect location.
