The kolsch, though not the best in town, is still good. Food excellent and service pretty swift.

Beautiful restaurant with frescoed ceiling, nooks and crannies which are fun to seek out. Service was excellent too; very friendly and efficient. The house Kölsch was very good too; not one of the best in town, but high-quality nonetheless. The apple strudel mit real vanilla ice cream was especially stunning. I would come back here in a heartbeat, especially for a meal.

Easy to find & close to the Cathedral. This place was absolutely packed as far as eating goes but since we were there only for a drink. After explaining so in my lousy German we were directed to the bar where you can hang out if you just want to only drink here. There was a large table but seating was virtually non-existent, most of us just had to stand. Their Kölsch was pretty lovely, service was so-so but wouldn’t typify it as bad. Since we weren’t eating there, I assume that we were a low priority, we needed to hunt a bit for staff in order to get some drinks. I am pretty sure that they totally forgot the coffee that we ordered at least once. Prices were same as elsewhere, given that I am from Belgium, I could live with the service. Interior had some nice wood & some Christmas spirit but seemed to be a bit more focused on max. efficiency as opposed to max. experience.

Just stopped in for a brew. The beer was good and the crowd was decent. The intestest thing was to watch the beer filler wash glasses while I enjoyed my beer. Fastest damn glass washer I’ve ever seen!!

Really great Kösch place where I got Haxe und Kraut with Peters local brew. A place for both families, young ones and retired beer aficionados. Must return to Altstadt Köln another time to crawl this native place

Full, but not exactly stand room only the night we visited. Good server was right on top of our beers - another was placed as soon as one was emptied. Beer could be better, but is pretty drinkable. Didn’t try the food. Nice decor.

Well I just visited two places near when they open and it was calm and I was able to fully enjoy the space, atmosphere and the beer. Here on the other hand it is rammed packed and just getting a beer was a bit dicey. From what I can see it is a pretty nice place with some character with wood details and the like and it is a more schwanky than the other places. It is tough to tell for sure due to the thickness of the crowd.

A nice environment outside but even more so inside. Beer quality seems to vary from good to average. Good food but failrly standard offerings.
