Tasting room at the front of the microbrewery with medium-sized stand-up bar. Half-dozen taps with samples to taste, then chilled six-packs for sale (now including canned Hop Circle). Compact brewery with high-tech water and energy-efficient modifications. Industrial setting walking distance from historic downtown, adjacent to location of original Victoria breweries from centuries past. Loading dock converts to stage for occasional music events. Great stop on Victoriaís undocumented but thirst-quenching "beer trail".
Very cool place. Lots going on both with the decor or the amount of people inside. Nice staff that seem to really enjoy their jobs. This is a tasting room only. Growler fill machine or off the tap. Lots beer in the coolers too. Phillips seems to be a community minded business. Awesome place. I will stop there everytime we are in Victoria.
Nice, fun brewery taproom, decorated with a lot of beer things, but itís mainly for sales of bottles and growlers; small samples are given, for a donation; the selection is not spectacular. Although it doesnít weight to the judgement of the place, Phillips organized a small beerfestival the day after our visit (Hopoxia) and they brought only one beer to their own festival! And only 2 tokens are given with the ticket, which means long queues to buy more tokens almost immediately.
I rated this place borderline on service, only because they do not have a traditional tap room. It is only samplings. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
We stumbled upon this little gem and discovered some great beers. If I lived in Victoria, this would be a regular stop to fill up my growler.
Nice reception area where you can try beers and buy stuff. Prices are reasonable, although nothing special in the fridges. Staff is very nice and tours although generic make sure you have enough beer to walk away happy. If you are around stop in, but you arenít missing anything if you donít.
Great place to pick up growers - at $10 a fill this is criminally cheap compared to what brewpubs charge in Toronto. Nice vibe inside and they give samples of whateverís pouring. Cool decor and nice staff there. Very busy on a Saturday night. Quick turnover of taps as well.

Iím liking the new location in town as opposed to the previous William Street ghetto. With the taproom youíll be able to get the latest special release in growlers instead of having to get a 6 or 12-pack. The staff are extremely nice and this outfit contributes to so many local charitable events making Phillips not only a Victoria leader but a foundation to the community.
