Piece is basically a big barn with beer. This barn is often very crowded and noisy, so, sorry, canít give high marks for ambiance. Service is also spotty. Itís clear that they are a volume business and have to leave some pleasantries at the door....which doesnít really bother me. I think the pizza is ok, but most of my pals love it. Either way, we both agree banana peppers are mandatory. Prices are very reasonable for food, and thereís a great take-out special for a pie and a growler. Piece brews and guest beers are excellent, and priced reasonable. Camel Toe is one of the best IIPAís youíll ever put in your guts. Great place to go with a large group, but if itís the weekend, expect to yell....and wait for a table.

Piece is a great spot for large groups of people. Their pizza is delicious, and their beer is well above average. The space is beautiful, and the bartenders are very attentive and on-point with their knowledge. On the weekends it get a little full of suburbanites, but what place in a prominent neighborhood doesnít? I donít know if Iíd put this place on a short list of must-visits if youíre in town touring Chicago craft beer bars, but to have a beer hall of this quality with good pizza in the neighborhood is definitely great.

Great pizza, great beer. What else do you need. Surprisingly large place in the middle of yuppie-ville. Long bar, many long tables crowded together, almost German bier hall style. Sports on the numerous TVs. Smart and attentive waitstaff that is tattoed (bonus!). Seven of their own selections on tap, in a variety of styles. Brewmaster Johnathan a very nice guy--brewing five days a week just to keep ahead of what this one location pours. This place is a must

I had been to this place before but never rated it si upon my return, I definitely felt the same way about this establishment. The atmosphere is alive when you come here, there is always a good crowd, a nice blend of patrons, and even when it is jam packed, the wait was only 30 minutes. The quality of Piece is decent, there on-site beers were a little lacking but they also had guest bottles that made for a great selection. The service here is very fast paced, the staff very knowledgable about theirs beers, and very friendly. The tap selection was a little too bland for my taste, nothing that really wowíd me to death but still better than some places. The food is extremely good, MUST GET THEIR PIZZA, worth every penny spent. The value of the food and beer is a little higher, but you are in chicago. You get decent quality but for a few extra pennines than normal. Overall, I like Piece Brewing and look forward to coming back the next time I am in the Second City.

They have several beers that they make, and then a large number of bottled beers. The pizza is fantastic, and generally pretty cheap. The servers are quick and kind. All in all, definitely a great place to eat and drink.

Awesome place! Great local feel. The pizza was amazing, way better than expected. Beers were great too - they have about 8 or so of their own, plus a few guest taps, plus maybe 20 or so bottles. If I lived around there, I would be at this place all the time!

The Pizza is amazing, nothing else like it in the city. Beer is pretty solid, can be hit or miss, but overall above average. Downside is the place is packed on weekends to the point that itís not worth the effort.

Good consistent brews. Good New Haven style pie. Always crowded and loud. Tough parking. They will not fill your 3rd party growler.
