Nice place in the basement area of a shopping center. Sadly, I went down there a couple days after Thanksgiving and there was crappy Christmas music on. It was the joke of the waitstaff and I had some good laughs while waiting for AndrŤ. Had the food. BBQ Chicken pizza. It was.. eh, ok. Not the hugest fan of BBQ sauce though I had no problem eating it. The beers were as stated before, fair.

The atmosphere is awesome. Between the active brewing equipment, the beer memorabilia on every wall, and the awesome downtown location, I think this place may have the best feel of any brewery I have been to. The beer is great, and they serve many other micro beers as well. I had the crab soup and thought it was excellent, if a bit pricey. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, but may get side tracked because of this. Overall, was in Seattle for two days, visited the pub twice.

One of the oldest breweries in Seattle, located downtown. Itís a really neat set-up - tons of beer memorabilia on the walls (old bottles, coasters, posters, etc), even the restaurant itself has tons of nooks and crannies with tables here and there, a wrap-around bar. Lots of merchandise and beer posters featured. It was tough to get a seat even at 6pm on a Tuesday night! The beers themselves were mostly above average, but nothing too special. They have 5-6 regulars and 4-5 seasonals. The food menu is mostly pub-fare and pizzas. We were intrigued by a meat plate but ended up ordering a meat pizza which was pretty good. Overall I did have a good time, nothing was too stand-out just overall solid

Very touristy, prices are quite high but they had 12 beers on tap (2 guest beers) to try which was nice. There are some bottles cold for take-away and lots of history in this place. I just think itís supported by a lot of tourist traffic.

First stop in Seattle for a beer. Short walk from the market and easy enough to locate. Entered from street level which brings you to the top of stairs overlooking the pub. Busy establishment with restaurant seating and a bar in the corner. Grabbed a pint but wasnít too fussed in staying long. If youíre in town then you will most come here at some point during your stay.

This is an interesting place. Itís down in the market place near the water. Itís pretty dark in some spots as this is built into the hill. They have a ton of house taps, which is nice, and they do some neat stuff. I got to talk to the brewer for a while at the Hard Liver fest and he had a ton of ideas and projects. A good percentage of what was on tap is also available in bottles around town. This was around the time when the first Entire Stout came out which sadly tuned out to be infected. Despite being full the service was pretty good. Flights came out quickly. We didnít eat but the food looked good.

Decent place but beer is mediocre at best aside from the stout which is great.

Good selection of house brews and most were good examples of their styles. Food ok but slightly below brewpub standards. Stays open late and was grateful to have half pints (so I could try more) and for the wi-fi.

This place is frackin huge. 2 different bar areas, at least 3 or 4 differnet dining room. Nice woodwork everywhere. Plenty of swag.
Service was although not very personal. Food was pretty run of the mill pub fare.
The beer was a bit better than I expected. there were around a dozen offerings and some we just ok a couple pub only offering seemed to be a next step above.
If your at PIke Place this is a must.

You canít beat the location. Itís right downtown. If youíre visiting, you probably hit the market, and here you are. If youíre entertaining visitors, they probably want to hit the market, and here you are. It strives to fit the Pike Place Market feel: they set it up like a rabbit warren, lots of connecting rooms and zig zagging hallways. Ceilings open up two stories overhead, and even a little more in spots. Intricate tilework floors, lots of woodwork, lots of breweriana. They really want you to feel some history. But then thereís the beer, striving to be slightly above average (aside from the XXXXX, which is quite good). The service, which is striving to be adequate, and thatís only when it remembers to strive. The crowd is downtown droids by day, fratty by weekend (they canít help that very much, and these are crowds that order well, to be sure). The foodís ok. The second you walk in you want to just love it, and itís certainly worth a visit. But you can focus your attention and wallet elsewhere to greater reward.
