Visited early on Thursday June 25, 2015. Not that long after they opened. Sat at the bar, did a flight of 6 beers, their regular ones, didnít eat since the food menu didnít inspire me much. Wifi wasnít working, even after restarting the router twice. Fast and friendly service. Quite a few people stopping by for food and beer both, seems a popular lunch hang out. A bunch of memorabilia around the walls. Very centrally located. Got a bus (120 Downtown) to 3rd Ave & Union St, then a not too long walk to get here. Would avoid parking around here. Plenty of beers on with their seasonals as well. Glad I went, would go back to if in town and this area.

Nice and cheap flights available. Little bit of too commercial place for me. Service was very nice.

It was nice to discover this place, looked like a museum partly, like you see more often in Belgian bars, on the other hand i founded the place a bit too big so we just took a bar seat in the cozy corner straight at the bar. I loved the Pikes Triple and the spicy chicken wings were verrrry spicy, pffwiieeet!! Anyway, i am happy that i made a visit!

Visited while walking around the Pike Place area (because why else would you be around here?) - I can see why a lot of contemporary beer geeks would not like this place - the set up here has become the template for pretty much all American brewpubs, and letís face it, no beer geek is going to get all excited about a classic American brewpub - I, however, liked this place quite a bit - for one, the whole place is basically a museum dedicated to American brewing history - yea, the walls are cramped with stuff, but itís not mindless, stupid kitch - I really liked seeing a brewery paying homage to brewing history, since so many American breweries (and beer drinkers) seem to think it doesnít matter (fuck history, thereís a new brewery in Arizona making a chocolate peanut butter imperial stout!) - the selection had the standard Pike offerings, plus five or six seasonals, some less common than others - what I had was well-made - the stout in particular was excellent; I enjoyed it more than a lot of the beers I had at the smaller, hipper breweries around town - staff was nice - the space in general had a lot of comfortable nooks and crannies, so even though itís huge, there are a lot of places where you can settle in and feel like youíre in a much smaller, cozier spot - I enjoyed myself here - thanks, Eugene, for making sure we got here during my short time in town.

A few blocks away from the market in a building with a number of other businesses. Kind of a goofy place in terms of decor. Signs and plaques and all sorts of garbage all over the walls. Maybe a little cramped, too.

They had a lot of beers on tap, but I just grabbed an IPA (perhaps a poor choice as it was mediocre). From the sounds of it and my experiences in the past, their beers on the whole are just kind of meh.

Could be cheaper, I guess, but itís sort of a tourist trap place near the market. Convenient stop since youíll likely check out the market if youíre visiting.

Two bars with tables in the area. Plenty of seating in the food area as well. Pretty crowded right at 5pm both days I was there. Beer selection was good with their beers and several guest taps on hand. Food was good. Server knew beer and was ready to talk about it and learn more. Asked a question about 3 possible beers fitting the name on the menu she brought back the keg tag and thanked me for bringing to her attention there was more than one by the name. Not cheap but nothing is in Seattle. Overall pretty nice. Must visit while seeing the market.

A West Coast classic from all those years ago and still very popular in spite of its location close to the market perhaps, but ultimately in a depressing mall. Still, itís large enough with its several rooms, heavily decorated with breweriana and historical pictures that you only remember the location when you get out. Inside, all the classics are there plus several other more experimental brews. I had not even realized before visiting that they brewed lagers, so I focused on stuff I did not know and was satisfied with an above average quality. For anyone whoís not from Washington state, I expect something new will be on tap. The food was standard pub fare, but the place is large enough and with a full and efficient kitchen that they offer more than burgers. It may no longer be an absolute most these days, but it remains a very worthwhile stop, and even moreso if your stay is limited to downtown.
