A large place with an average selection of house beers available. Sat outside on the large tables, the goulash was quite tasty. Worth checking out if you have time.

great bar that serve all the best from the croatian kitchen.. sausages, meat, meat meat and a little mashed patatoes... perfect. The place had five different beers that is fairly good. In the bar there is a big wall with private numbered mugs which belonged to members. As I understood it was like a lottery, and the more the members drank the bigger the chance for the grand price, witch was a travel somewhere... far out - but a cool excuse to dig in to an extra draft. The tables was massive thick wood long-tables that tributed to a good atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Of 4 medvedgrad brewpubs, I’ve been in Adzije street. It was really quite when I came (noon) but soon it was almost full. It is decorated in Bavarian style, with old photos of continental towns and themes. Most impressive were the huge Bavarian beer glasses on the shelf exhibited. Also it is a good place for parties as it has got several separated rooms. Staff is friendly, polite and fast. They have on tap their 5 beers. It seems they have less food than in Zlatno Pivo, still pretty good. Also, two types of their own cheese. Have eaten a pizza, really very cheap and quite fine. One more positive thing is they accept dogs, which is unfortunately not so usual in Croatia. All in all, nice, pleasant restaurant/beerpub.

A nice brewpub with 5 beers on offer with an adress in the middle of the city. The beers are apparently slightly variable and were mostly enjoyable. The food menu offers a few croatian specialties at reasonable prices. Overall, a good brewpub experience.

The inside seating was was full of diners and the atmosphere all second-hand smoke. Outside, at the dozen picnic tables the waiters would visit fairly frequently. I found the Zlatni OKAY, the Mrki very caramely, the Grička Vještica like a high-strength non-descript brown ale. The schnitzel and breads tasted good. Easy to find if you take the correct tram stop - Adžijna.

The original Medvedgrad was closed in November 2005, but they reopened in Božidara Aždije 16 soon after, that is the main brewpub, and they have also opened a pub near the main Zagreb square (Trg Bana Jelacica), and are also planing on opening a pub in Samoborska cesta. The ambient is a little less "pubby" and more like a family restaurant, there is less space then there was before, but it’s still a decent and fairly big place. Excelent pub, excelent beer, excelent food.

this place wasn’t bad. huge wooden tables if i remember correctly. the beers were kind of trashy. their little bread stuff was pretty tasty. rye bread i guess in american? good stop. good people. good country.

Large beer hall with massive wood tabels, nice atmosphere, the service is good and fast, but during the weekend evenings you could wait your beer for 15-20minutes. Also on few other locations: Ilica 49 (center), Tkalčićeva 36 (two minutes walk from main Ban Jelačić square), Božidara Adžije 16, Samoborska cesta 217 (west suburb).

Excellent quality beer and food and a sociable atmosphere. Waiters told us when the wheat came on so we could scoop it!

As Per said, Central European style large beer hall. Beers are worth of sampling and food was ok.
