we came here for lunch on a saturday. the place was rather quite. we had the lunch menu which was cheap (80 koruna), but the quality was not very good. For the beer ... since the other reviews were rather bad my expectations were quite low, but the beers were all in good shape and also quite good actually (coming from a guy who is not so much into lagers). No english menu. Maybe food in the evening is better, but in general I would suggest to come here for the beers and eat somewhere else. ps: the ogar beer shops is just around the corner from magistr, so it might be worth it to do both of them together. ps2: they have a fridge with some bottles to take away, probably better to drink on the premises. Overall good.

Because we had our dog with us, we were banned into the hot (40° outside) garden. Stuff was helpfull, the one beer I tried ok. Food was bad. Not worth the trip.

Bad food. Bad service. Very bad beer. Too bad, I hope they get their stuff together, as it’s not nice to see a small brewery doing so bad. :(

Average ambiance. Terrible way of drafting beer. (Draught beers in fridge...) Good selection for small brewpub. Average prices.

Great atmosphere, a bit ’noisy, Czech beer and food of good quality at affordable prices. Of note, however, ’a drop of style. At the end of the meal I ordered a dessert and I was brought a beer, which I refused, because I thought a mistake of the table. In a place where the beer flows freely you can ’think to associate with the word dessert (which use internationally) to a low-alcohol beer, except that the word beer I’ve never spoken. Language problems? Maybe, but that has nevertheless decided to put in account the beer I was served by a mistake can not be attributed to me, I find it really unprofessional.

Visited May 2012, The beers that were available were poor to average, enjoyed the food but everywhere inside was cloaked with a thick cloud of cigarette smoke.

Beers are all guinness-style carbonated with extra-creamy foam (nitrogen?). They are all pretty good but the cherry beer ("visnove pivo") is awesome! Served with actual cherries in the bottom of the glass, it tastes like cherry ice cream. Food is classic czech food, very well executed. An english menu was not available at the moment of visiting. There are televisions for watching foot or hockey with the locals, and, if you feel like it, you can drink your beer in a 1 liter mug ("tuplak"). Fun.
