Great place to eat and drink beer. The food is great and comes at a sweet price. 6 Taps and loads of bottles, the bottles are a bit expensive compared to the food and taps. Chose to sit downstairs at the tables or upstairs more pub like. No Wi-Fi though :(
Gradually wearing in nicely. Downstairs is foodier, ground level beerier but the range of beers on display shows the intention to introduce locals to Belgian, British and American beers, plus Czech. Smoke-free and well-lit., an excellent short choice of Czech drafts. I would still like to see more Matuška, Permon, Falcon and the like.
My first visit to a beer destination in Prague and the Czech Republic was very satisfying. This place functions as a bar, a beer store and a restaurant. Six Czech beers on tap, served in 300ml and 500ml amounts, three fridges, one with UK bottled beers, the other one with Belgian bottles and the third with French, American and Czech beers. In addition there was several shelves with more bottles, most of them from the Czech Republic. A medium sized pub with a ground floor and a basement, most of the people who came in for easing went downstairs. Czech interior of wooden tables, high stools, floor tiles and decorated by barrels and old photos on the walls. Friendly and helpful service with recommendations when I asked for Czech bottles to take away. No smoking, and no music at our stay. Close to the Florenc Metro station (Visited with Frau Eva, 28.06.2016).
Crazy are these Ratebeer scores. This place is worth coming for only one beer - svetle from Brevnov, fantastic lezak on tap at a very good price. Skip the porter and the other four.
Forget about the rest - the american-only tourists , the pompous barman, and the absurd prices for the bottled Brevnov /something in the area of 130 KCS for 0.33 IPA/.,
