We visited 23.12.2013. Another great Pizza Port place. Compact, small brewery to the left - there is a bar directly in front! Next to the right, the beer bar, ~25 own beers and ~20 guest beers. Next is the Pizza station. Typical Pizza Port beer table and benches. Beers and Pizza great as in other locations. Still prefer the Carlsbad place, however this one comes close.

Pizza Port Ocean Beach (PPOB) was the first official stop during my recent trip to SDBW 2012. It is a medium sized venue, a single room containing several rows of communal tables where beer geek and family meet. It is light and airy with a slightly rustic decor to it. The small bar is to the left upon entry. There is a counter for ordering the delicious PPOB craft brews adjacent to counters where hungry patrons can order food - which I did not try given a giant enchilada lunch at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Old Town San Diego (at which time I also quaffed a Ballast Point Yellowtail Ale.)
The beer is great; during my visit, the following were greatly enjoyed: Dandy IPA, Shark Bite, Tarantulas and ABLE stout. In fact, the Dandy cask blew and the attentive bartender gave it to me on the house. (Oh, if more kegs would blow!)
PPOB is the definitive beer bar: great quaffs, non-pretentious environment where everyone can enjoy themselves; plus, it is a block from the mighty Pacific.
It is also accesible to Bus 35 from Old Town. One down

Great service from a very nice and helpful staff. A dozen or more great Pizza Port brews on tap, plus about another dozen guest taps. The food wasnít special, but it was cheap and good for a lunch.

During my visit there I enjoyed a good night rider, amazing beer! I love pizza port brew pub concept and they always manage to keep it running by craft beer lovers employees.

OB! Totally cool place. Of course being a block away from the beach doesnít hurt. They had a good variety, and some nice guest taps. Only had a slice of pizza which was good bar pizza, but had a decent menu. The people there will all nice and very chill. Loved this place.

Newer, cleaner, fancier Pizza Port. Same fantastic beer, food, and service. If I could own a location, Iíd do it immediately. They have it down pat.

Stopped in here for lunch over the weekend, with my two young kids. Never sure how beer drinking will mix with little kids, but this visit was great. The OB Pizza Port is a block off the main OB drag, which is kind of nice. The building is a nice brick and glass structure, with brewing equipment visible from outside. Inside are the usual bench seats and countertop for ordering beer and food. Lots of windows, sports on TV. Probably 25-30 beers on tap, 1/2 from Pizza Port. Service was friendly and the beer and pizza were ready within minutes. I only tasted 1 beer, but it was good, and the food was awesome. They even had video games for the kids. Great place.

Located in a neighborhood called ocean beach, its close enough to the ocean that you can smell it from the entrance. There was plenty of street parking the night I went. The interior has kind of a surf shop feel with a vey tiny bar. They had 20-25 various pizza ports on tap as well as a lot of other locals. The food was very good and reasonably priced and the service was attentive. The beers I had were all pretty good. I love pizza but most izza places have crap beer selections. Itís great to come to a place like this that does both well.

Located blocks from the ocean, this place is a must stop for some beers and pizza. The beer selection of house beers and guest taps is fantastic. Pretty much everything was of extremely high quality from what we sampled. Pizza was kickass, with a lot of variety, veggie / vegan options, as well as salads if you donít want pizza. Service was quite good - nothing amazing. Prices are normal. An absolute must stop when in San Diego for beer and pizza.

Went here twice on my trip to San Diego...what can I say? I love the place. The pizza is amazing and the beer selection pretty good. 15 house beers on tap...nothing spectacular but a bunch of solid beers. 25 guest taps included many goodies both local, other parts of the county and Belgian goodies. Servers were friendly and attentive. Many delicious pizza options. Just a cool vibe to the place. The interior is a bar that seats a dozen or so and a bunch of lined up picnic tables. Some outdoor seating, too...but it sort of faces a street, so I just stayed inside despite the wonderful April weather. Great value on slice and beer lunch specials. I had three pints and two slices of beer and got out for under $20. Iíd definitely go back were I in San Diego. Despite other places having better/more beer and better food, this was my favorite SD locale.
