excellent place for a brew. they have at least a dozen rotating taps of thier tasty brews on at any time; as well as 2 dozen or so guest taps from alesmith, ballast point, jolly pumpkin, green flash, allagash, a few belgians, and many more. the food is damn good for pub fare. still not excellent menu selections, but everything is done very well and goes great with the brews. dont be mistaken, not a place to come and eat just for the food, but does a great job at not making you have to go somewhere else for food afterwards. the place is bright, open and clean, and allows dogs on the patio, which is kept up very well with a driftwood theme. i brought my dog, there was about 1/2 a dozen other dogs on the patio, no issues. over all ambiance = 4, ambiance with a dog = 5. the portzel is very tasty, even pretzel haters love it! lol! the pizza is great, the slices are the cheapest way to go as 2 slices is more than a small pizza. no joke, and great prices on the slices. 8 is generous for service, which is at the counter only. but they do manage to get things out properly and promptly, so i am giving them an 8 since they keep the lines moving quickly. but this places pizza kicks russian rivers ass; hard. overall an ejoyable place for a non geek, and a very enjoyable place for a geek! i will say, they can only fill growlers of the house beers, which is a lil sad considering the selection. also, growlers of strong house ales are $30, so be ready.

Same food and vibe, but they had a better tap list this time than Carlsbad. Great location right near the beach and a big, bright space filled with locals. Had a great lunch with a few new Port brews. Worth a visit even if you have been to the other Pizza Ports.

Can only compare to Carlsbad location. The service here was super awesomely good. Jason the bartender was very friendly and helpful. The beers were solid with tons of guest taps. Not as nice as the Carlsbad location. The atmosphere feels like a bland cafe. Very sports oriented. After the football game, half the bar cleared out. Pizza was solid, though nothing mind blowing. Like other Pizza Ports, loud and rowdy and can get very crowded. Visit off peak hours/weekdays.

This place is as good as the time that you show up. if you are there at 7pm, its going to be a shit show, if you go at 4pm, its going to be a ghost town and youíll have your run of the place. They have a ton of taps, supporting tons of other craft and import taps, and they are putting out some of the best PP beers out of this location (cho saiko is amazing).

itís nice, but not a patch on the Carlsbad location. Doesnít have the atmosphere or beers of that place. Still decent and some good guest taps.

This place was great. Right off the beach and had a cool vibe. About 12 beers that they brewed on tap and about 12 guest beers. All the PP beers i had were good and the guest beers looked new to me but i havent been on the West Coast much. Canít wait to come back.

You go for the beer and pizza, both of which are awesome. Pizza Port (OB, Carlsbad, Solana Beach) all make some amazing beers. In addition to their house beers, they also have a good guest tap list...so there is something there for everyone.
The only downside to these places: they are always packed. If you go there with a big group, you will likely stand around for at least 30 minutes hovering around a table waiting for a group to leave.

A great place to stop for a couple of good local brews. I made it in around noon local time and sat with a guy pouring a great selection of their own and quite a few of some local beers. The fellow was very knowledgeable and said he worked at Ballast Point as well. I sampled about 8 different beers and had a very good time. The locals also pointed out several more excellent places to stop during my stay.

My first Pizza Port, need to visit the rest of them. Plenty of seating inside and some outside. The pizza was very good, the beer was great. They had 39 beers on tap the night I was there.

Maybe we got here at a bad time (about 7PM before a Chargers Monday night game) but the place was packed, mostly with younger kids. And I donít mean 20-somethings, I mean teenagers. And they were running around the place like it was Romper Room. It didnít take us long to realize we didnít want to wait to sit at a picnic table with kids all over the place. Wonít make an effort to go back.
