Great Beer and the Pizza is also real great. This is a real beach bar that is run by people who surf on the other side of the hill at pill box. I eat and drink here must weekends. ENJOY

this place is freakin’ awesome. it was one of the stops on our "beer-trip" this spring break. not only does the solana beach pizza port have a great selection of beers, but the atmosphere is also great. sure, some people might complain about kids, duh, it’s a pizza place not a hardcore bar. and as for commenting on the pizza, this is ratebeer.com not ratepizza.com. the staff is super friendly and the seating outside makes you appreciate the sunny san diego weather. it makes drinking beer at 11am even better.

In southern California there are many different pizza brewpubs. I’ve been to all of them and Pizza Port in Solana Beach is by far the best. This Pizza Port is the original and in my opinion the best of the three. The location is superb, a couple of blocks from the beach. The restaurant’s atmosphere is friendly and family oriented. Don’t be shy though, because when you eat here you, everyone sits together on picnic benches. In the back are a bunch of video games. You can also see where they make their own beer from your seat. On to the grub and grug… Their beer is very good. While they have a great selection of guest beers (most are local micros) I’d recommend trying their beers. Feel free to ask to sample some or all of their beers to help decide what to drink. They have a great brewer who makes top notch beers. Not only is the beer good, but they also make a pizza that’s to die for. If you are in the area don’t miss this great place. (The only reason I am giving the selection a 14 is because they didn’t have my favorite beer on tap, Cuvee de Tomme)

What a great place! Ever since moving to Tucson from San Diego I have really missed this place. Good pizza and beer selection. Nice array of picnic style tables. If your in SD and you haven’t been then you are a fool.

World-class brew and great pizza. My kind of atmosphere. Great place to meet women. A must stop on any SoCal beer tour.

Much smaller than The Carlsbad place. Brewery located directly in the small pub. Great atmosphere, Pizza outstanding and beers delicious.

Awesome selection of beers in a true So Cal surfer bar/pizza joint. This place is awesome. Pizza is awesome. Bought bottled SPF 45 and a growler of Santa’s Little Helper. Staff allowed me to try all of their brews, most for free.

You can get both your Michael Jackson (the beer guy) and your Jeff Spicoli grove on here. Right on the beach, great pizza’s and some of the US’s best brews served here. Tomme has his act down big time and this surf shack is where its at. Worth the trip from far and wide. The BBQ Chix Pizza is the bomb.
