I came all the way from Michigan to try this site out. The Swami IPA and Hoppy 15 (Double IPA) really found a fan in me. The pizza was good too. I am now wanting to go to Carlsbad too.

This place was kind of freaky. I had lots of difficulty finding the place to order the beer and figuring out what the hell they had on tap. Pair this with special needs kids running around making awkward noises and saying awkward things, and it was quite a weird experience. The brewer Tomme was there and is a nice guy. He trusted me enough to ask me to deliver some Goldings to the brewer at Oggis in Vista. For this favor, he gave me a bottle of Mother of All Beers. I didnít care for the appearance of this place. Indoor picnic tables and dark lighting with 80s arcade games in the back, Just seemed kinda tacky to me. The beers on tap were nothing overly special. Pizza was decent.

Pizza was quite tasty as was the beer. After eating I wandered around the beach for a few hours. Definetly a good time!!

SoCal beach crowd casual ambiance. Great pizza aroma. Good selection of guest and house brews and some bottled to go beers. Really good grub and grog, but I canít believe Tomme can produce such world class brews in the worlds smallest "Micro" brewery.

I just realized that I hadnít rated this place yet. This is a tiny little pizza joint w/ a killer selection of beers on tap (and some for sale in bottles). Their selection of Pizza Port beers is slightly better than their Carlsbad location and much better than San Clemente. They had 750ml bottles for sale of their Dubbel & their Imperial Stout. Those will disappear quickly. The pizza is very good. Parking a bit of a challenge. If youíre in the area, you should hit this place up.

Stopped by here on the way to San Diego from LA. Typical looking pizza place. Lots of TVs. Good pizza. OK beers on tap @ the time. I was expecting more from the beer, but hey, the Real Ale Fest may prove me wrong.

Spent the afternoon here with Tomme Arthur, so my comments might be a bit biased. The feel is the same as the Carlsbad location, except in a smaller, more homey feeling. The standard pub beers are very good, Swamiís IPA being my standout, but what makes this place special are Tommeís unique Belgian-style creations, world-beaters in every case. This man is doing incredible things and will put his mark on the brewing world I am sure if he gets a bit more exposure. The pizza is as marvelous as other PPorts which is why I recommend you have a meal here. Youíll be able to have more beer!! And please, do not be afraid to pay the 10$ or 12$ for the 750ml bottles they sell here. There is an enormous chance that you will be buying one of the rarest, soon-to-be international superstars...

The smaller but slightly better cousin of Pizza Port - Carlsbad. The selection of beer seemed a little smaller than at Carlsbad, but the quality of the beers they had was better. Lotís of high abv stuff the day I was there. I only had three beers during lunch and ended up with a killer hangover by the end of the day. The atmosphere is generally the same, plenty of tvís and games to go around. The pizza is great; I still like Pizza Portís Pizza better than any other pizza I have had in So-Cal.

Great location. Hip, young crowd. Great place to fill up before dropping some cash at the races. Take advantage of their annual road trips to the Padres and Charger games. You wonít be disappointed.

In southern California there are many different pizza brewpubs. Iíve been to all of them and Pizza Port in Solana Beach is by far the best. This Pizza Port is the original and in my opinion the best of the three. The location is superb, a couple of blocks from the beach. The restaurantís atmosphere is friendly and family oriented. Donít be shy though, because when you eat here you, everyone sits together on picnic benches. In the back are a bunch of video games. You can also see where they make their own beer from your seat. On to the grub and grugÖ Their beer is very good. While they have a great selection of guest beers (most are local micros) Iíd recommend trying their beers. Feel free to ask to sample some or all of their beers to help decide what to drink. They have a great brewer who makes top notch beers. Not only is the beer good, but they also make a pizza thatís to die for. If you are in the area donít miss this great place. (The only reason I am giving the selection a 14 is because they didnít have my favorite beer on tap, Cuvee de Tomme)
